Argh I've been putting off writing the escape (Pitan's POV) and nobody is bumping. Should I post another update? 5 bumps from 5 different people please before I type it out
Pitan's POV Our escape. Risky,but successful. Or was it? I led Cheonmyeong and Deokman out of the palace's many long and winding hallways. I gripped my sword tightly,ready for any assassins to jump out. Cheonmyeong and Deokman followed close behind,jumping at every noise. I sighed and continued walking. I saw a wooden door ahead. The end of the hallways! I ran ahead and slowly opened the door. I peeked around it. Phew. No one was there. I opened the door fully. Suddenly,someone jumped out. I gripped my sword and hunched slightly,poised for action. "Cheonmyeong? Is that really you?" a voice asked softly. "Alcheon? Is that you?" Cheonmyeong asked gently. I shook my head at her. "It might be a trap." I stepped forward and saw two assassins. Their faces were covered with fabric masks. I smirked. With one slash of my sword,I cut off their masks. Cheonmyeong and Deokman gasped. Alcheon and Yuxin!! I stared at both of them. "These two are the boyfriends you speak of?" I asked in disbelief. They nodded,crying tears of joy. All four of them embraced while I stood there. If only I could find Reina too...
Pitan's POV I broke the silence and said,"There's no time for hugs and kisses. We've got to go before Izumi's men spot us." Alcheon replied,"Fine. But Yuxin and I will lead. We know this place well." I nodded. "I'll make sure these two girls don't get lost." Deokman gave me the killer glare. Not long after,we were free. I breathed in fresh air. We were free at last! Glancing swiftly around,I noticed a middle-aged lady leading a horse. I ran up to the horse,mounted it from the back and rode off. I rode past the stables,grabbed another horse's reins,turned back and stopped right in front of Alcheon and the others. Yuxin smiled. "I'm impressed." I grinned back. "Hop on." Alcheon and Cheonmyeong rode with me while Yuxin and Deokman rode on the other horse. We left the city and entered Amyangju province. We were free at last.
P.S. This drama is based many years ago in Korea so obviously there would be assassins,horses and a province named Amyangju.
Pitan's POV We rode past bustling cities and dried-up farmlands. Soon,we arrived at a beautiful riverbank with a dazzling waterfall. I moved aside to reveal a cave-a decent shelter. "We can spend the night here. Tomorrow,we'll go our separate ways." Alcheon and Yuxin nodded. I led them to the cave. "Stay here. I'll go look for food." I told them. "I'll go with you." Alcheon spoke up. "Don't you want to stay with Cheongmyeong?" I replied. "Okay then. But be careful." he smiled. I grinned and left the cave.
Pitan's POV As I left the cave,I saw Reina. Reina? Were my eyes playing tricks on me? I rubbed them. No,they weren't. She was at the top of a waterfall-and another pigtailed girl was pushing her over it! "No!!" I screamed,rushing towards Reina. I dove into the water and began to search for Reina in the azure depths of the river. A limp figure was sinking towards the bottom. Reina! I dove down and grabbed her. I swam back up to the surface. I laid her down on the riverbank and performed CPR on her. Spluttering,she opened her eyes. I smiled and bent down to her. Suddenly,she closed her eyes. I felt her pulse. I smiled. She was alive. I returned to the cave with Reina. Alcheon and Yuxin rushed to her. "What happened? Who is she?" they asked. "She's Reina. Don't worry,she's alive." I replied. "But I didn't collect any food. Alcheon and Yuxin,will you go out and help me collect some food? Thanks." They nodded and set off. Deokman smiled at me. "She's your girlfriend?" I nodded. Cheonmyeong smiled. "It looks like a perfect reunion." Well,almost perfect.
