Reina's POV (Part Two) The list stated that Taylor Summers would be at the market. I sprinted off to the market as fast as I could,hoping that she would be there-so he would not be in any danger. Perfect! She was at the stables near the market. Perfect opportunity. I unsheathed my katana and held it to her throat. "Follow me,or lose your life. And I mean a slow and painful death." I breathed. Taylor trembled,"Yes...I'll follow you..." "Good girl. Now move." I responded harshly. I led her to the abandoned hut. No one ever went in there. I locked the door and held the katana to her neck again. "Why do you...why do you want to kill me?" she quivered in fear. "Oh,it's nothing personal. My master just wants you dead,that's all." I maintained a cool look,even though I was shaking inside. Taylor looked at me with wide eyes. "And whatever my master wants,he gets it." I killed Taylor with a swift stroke of the blade. She was lying in a pool of crimson liquid-blood. I cleaned my katana,put it away and took out a drawing of a sakura. I left it on the haystack near the body and left the hut. Soon,high-pitched screams pierced the air. I smiled,knowing they had discovered the body. They could do anything they wanted,but it was too late. Reina's POV (Part Three) I returned to the palace. Again,the assassins blindfolded me and took me through the long and winding passageways to meet Izumi. When I reached Izumi,they tore off the blindfold. I gasped. Izumi was holding a riding crop! "Who do you think you are,Reina? So you've suddenly become so great that you can leave behind marks like Alcheon?" Izumi asked coolly. "No! It's not like that! I thought...I thought that all the assassins here leave behind marks like Alcheon!" I stammered. "We don't do that. Only top-class assassins can do that. Are you sure you are good enough to cover your tracks well enough so that even a mark will not reveal your identity?" Izumi retorted. I shook my head meekly. Izumi suddenly stood up and walked closer to me. "For doing that,a rookie like you must receive punishment. Men,hit her until I say you can stop." I widened my eyes as Izumi's men dragged me to a red chair and bound me to it. "Do you know why that chair is red,Reina?" Izumi smirked. I kept quiet. "Seems like an assassin like you doesn't know. Alright,let me tell you why. It's so that when my men beat my victims until they bleed,the blood marks will not show." Izumi grinned evilly. "Men,start the punishment!" I looked up at the two assassins that were punishing me. They were Alcheon and Yuxin. I realised that even though they were moving the cane with great force,they hit me gently! I asked Alcheon in a whisper,"Why aren't you hitting me hard? Won't you get into trouble with Izumi?" Alcheon shook back his hair and replied,"I can't hit a girl. Neither can Yuxin." I kept quiet. Was Alcheon good,or bad?
Alcheon's POV I knew that Reina had done nothing wrong. I mean,she WAS a rookie. How could she know our rules? Izumi really was unfair. Anyway,I was serving him only because he was holding my beloved captive. Yuxin too. I was a young swordsman. Izumi was always somewhere near me,watching me practise. One day,he took Cheonmyeong away and told me that to save her,I had to kill the people he wanted dead. By now,I had killed countless people,but every time,Izumi would come up with a new list. There was no turning back now. I had no choice but to be a permanent assassin. For my life. For Cheonmyeong.
I'm using a mixture of Korean names(Alcheon,Cheonmyeong),Japanese names(Reina Kojima,Izumi)and Chinese names(Yuxin). 'His' name will be either Korean or Chinese! It's like Romeo(Korean guy)and Juliet(Japanese Reina). Heehee But I have NO IDEA what 'his' name should be. I just kinda dived into this story without even planning it out. I'm just gonna go with the flow of the story
Yuxin's POV I couldn't hit Reina. I just couldn't. If I hit a girl,wouldn't I be no different from Izumi? My life was a mess. At first,my life was perfect. Until the day Izumi took away Deokman. How could I live a good life while the one I love is in Izumi's hands? I was forced to be an assassin,constantly killing. I had to save Deokman. But how? I couldn't find her. Just like Reina,every assassin is blindfolded before they can enter Izumi's palace. How could I find Deokman?
Reina's POV A month has passed. I have finally killed all the ten people on my list. When I reached Izumi's chamber,I asked him meekly,"I have killed all the ten people on my list. May he be released?" "No. I have another list for you. After this,I'll have to decide first." Izumi replied,not even looking at me. I sighed. How many more people would I have to kill?
Reina's POV Halfway before reaching the front door,I removed my blindfold. I know what you must be thinking now. Wouldn't I be stopped by the two assassins leading me? Have you forgotten about Alcheon and Yuxin? They were the assassins leading me every time. Alcheon whispered,"Go. Go,Reina. Go find him. Yuxin and I will go too. We cannot stay under Izumi's reign anymore. He is too much of a tyrant." I nodded and smiled at them. "I will meet both of you at Bicheon Road. See you." I turned around and ran off. I knew that there wouldn't be any guards around as Izumi thought no assassin could escape from his guards and see the palace. I screamed,"Pitan! Where are you!" I hoped there would be a reply,but all I could hear was my echo.
