There’s also civic responsibility, what if that person was in danger, hurt, dehydrated, or freezing to death and looking for help and wandered onto your property looking for solace? What if it was a child? Do you shoot them for trespassing? You can’t just assume this guy was a criminal.

No one is trespassing in this situation. If someone was on my property and took my items, heck yeah I'd shoot them. If someone tried to rob me out in public, and I had a gun on me, it'd be my legal responsibility to make every reasonable attempt to deter them before shooting them.

But if they didnt cut the shït and leave, yes I'd shoot them too. I'm never going to lay down and be the victim of a crime when I have the right and ability to defend myself.


It's not legal for a school aged child to own a gun, and it's not legal to carry a gun on school grounds. So....no...your example would make both students criminals

 

Murder is a crime.
And should only be justified when in defence of your own life.

Here's a question. If the man took your whole farm, and was detained by police. What would the legal repercussion be? a death penalty? No.

By murdering someone in response to any crime, you make it clear that you believe that they deserve the death penalty, and you are willing to carry it out before they face trial.
You circumvent legal wisdom and assert your own idiocy when the justice system would repay you anyway.

 

The right to defend yourself is a deterrent to crime.

Yeah murder happens on the daily. It happens because terrible decisions or survival of the fittest. Some people probably do it for god knows what. I font know but it happens, with or without reason.

I don't commit crimes, and therefore I never worry about being "murdered" whilst committing one.

Trespassing is a crime. If you trespassed on a military base what would happen? They'd shoot you. If you're trespassing at a bank after hours...they're gonna assume you're robbing it and shoot you. If you trespass ata store after hours, again gonna think you're robbing the place...good chance security may shoot you.

Do you even know what happened with Colten? You’re talking so much about criminals and people threatening your property. Colten went to the farm looking for help with a flat tire and he got shot in the back of the head while sitting in a parked car.
