  1. Anti-Judaism is ingrained in some versions of Islam, while pro-Judaism is in other interpretations, and they tend to directly contradict eachother.

It's mainly in Islam because Judaism is the mother religion, and to become "your own man", you sort of need to differentiate yourself from your mother. Same thing in Christianity...
It initially manifests from a personal need to perceive your religion as better than the others, but sadly makes its way into scripture and canon.

    Understanding this isn't hard.

but when it goes to a place of "we must actually remove the other religion because its continued existence is a threat to my religion", what level of understanding can help?

This transcript reveals the level of understanding that is necessary. This speech understands.

  2. I did not originally attack him for his beliefs. I educated him, and suggested he unlearn it, as I mentioned before.

  3. Mother religion my ass ?

  4. You forgot the part where early treaties were ignored by several Jewish tribes and thousands upon thousands were slaughtered.

  5. Except it is though. Judaism is also the mother religion of Christianity... Jesus was Jewish. All three are the Abrahamic faiths.

  6. You asked him to unlearn a part of his religion, and then condemned him for acting harshly.

You attacked his beliefs. You're not a very tolerant person apparently

  7. I don't tolerate intolerance, especially when he was harassing Kefo over it and breaking FCOC.

  8. Yeah lol I call diddums on that.

Hatred "supported" by/with religion is no different to regular hatred.

Religious freedom shouldn't extend that far.

  9. So you don't tolerate Muslim beliefs then.

Kefo's a big boy, he can hold his own. Everyone whom holds a religious belief is going to be attacked for it.

I don't see anyone coming to the rescue when I'm attacked for my Christian beliefs. But I manage, because I know I have God on my side.

  10. Julie they love playing the victim, just let them be

  11. No, not that specific one since apparently it is a Muslim belief to hate Jewish people. I still do not believe it is. None of the Muslims I know are anti-Semites.

  12. Agree to disagree. My religion tells us to cast out certain groups of people from our society.

Every religion has it's right to associate or not associate with whomever their teachings dictate.

  13. I have many problems with the Left, but their Orwellian language and language policies are my biggest differences with them. Unlearn something? What the Hell do you think you're saying?

One does not "unlearn" something short of brainwashing or lobotomizing him.

We can act against that which we have learned, or we can learn that what we previously learned is false and therefore not worth acting upon, but we cannot unlearn it.

I'm not assuming firebends wants to put people in Stalinist re-education camps, but language is powerful (as Dr. Peterson points out), and the Left uses the language of totalitarianism to advance its causes.

The Right has not always been much better, but at least the Right is open to freedom of speech and opinion today. They also have believe in the right of freedom of association, the most basic (or second most basic) natural right.

  14. Ik, I'm out. They'll never get it. Good night former tutsie

  15. Unlearn is a word that has been around for centuries. It means "to discard".

  16. I never claimed it was a NEW word, I claimed it was a word inappropriate for a free people. But you love to play the victim, so I'm out!

Also, I do believe anti-Semitism should be thoroughly rejected.

I just think our language matters, and the ends never justify the means.

  17. Where have I played the victim in this thread? If anything, I'm victimizing Kefo by saying he was the victim of anti-Semitic harassment.

  18. It's okay. The word just reminded him of Orwell and reeducation camps.

The idea that a belief can be wrong isn't that bad.

  19. Like perhaps the belief in a religion that says you cant be a part of it unless you’re born in it? Agree af

  20. Judaism has a conversion process, it's just rarer for people to convert to it when compared to Christianity or Islam.
