Don’t apologize because you expect forgiveness. Apologize because you feel bad for being the cause of stress of grief in someone else’s daily life. Apologize for causing others to lose a little bit more faith in humanity. Apologize because you want to make the world a better place and don’t want to be the reason anyone else thinks that it is ok to deliberately make offensive remarks that alienate others in an otherwise peaceful environment. One last thing... never use your race or unfortunate situation as an excuse to act out in a public venue. Most real ones will see this as weak, fake, and won’t respect you. You can be who you are, and remember where you came from, without constantly having to remind everyone of who you are, and where you came from. People will forget that anyway, but they will always remember how you made them feel.
