  1. Oh, doll, it isn't that easy. If only she could just dump him on their anniversary. But, alas, it just can't work that way!

You'll hate the next chapter. I'm almost halfway through with it so I just might update tomorrow or possibly Monday because I am so excited about this update.

And I have half of Chapter 19 already written. Is that bad that I already have the fourth wedding already written? Over three books, I have made four weddings. I just think they are beautiful!

But, still, I have Chapter 18 finished, and Chapter 13 and 19 almost halfway through. I am so strange. It's like when I like to read the ends of books before I even get close to the ending.

    So, that's all, loves.

    ~Shana Alana

P.S. Would you like me to start walling you? If so, just tell me because I already have the art made out.

  2. Oooo yes! I don't want miss a single update!

you do that too?I always read the last page of a book first (unless it's a school book).

And awww??i just want heather and ash!!

weddings really are all pretty and stuff!

  3. Okay, so, I finished the chapter! Woo! So, I want you to choose:

    Would you rather...

    A) have the update now and wait for two weeks for a new one

    or

    B) wait for the usual update at the end of the week?

So either wait and you get an update like usual or update now and wait until a week from this upcoming Saturday? Lemme know, lovies!

  4. Well, I suppose I can since someone *cough* Shannon *cough cough* left me an inbox of 52 ー yeah, I counted ー "NOW"s.

    OKAY! I am!

    Chapter 13

I pace nervously, looking down at my phone again. It’s almost time for my boyfriend to show up for our anniversary date. Ugh. I look down at my dress with a frown. It’s a mint green dress that meets my mid-thigh and has one shoulder strap. I love the dress, but I hate the reason why I’m wearing it. I think James is sweet and I really would hate to break his heart, but I just can’t lead him on anymore.

“Honey,” I hear from my dad, “James is here!” I look in the mirror one last time, giving myself a quick glance. My wavy hair is pulled back, braided, and it has mint green beads weaved in. I look classy and that’s how James told me to dress, classy. Looks like James is going all out tonight. And then he’ll propose, you watch.

“Coming,” I finally call and I slip into my heels, a matching mint green, and I hurry down the stairs. I walk through the kitchen and kiss my mother on the cheek. “Bye, Mom. Love ya.” I wave at her and walk towards the door. I pause when I see James, sending him a weak some. He is wearing a suit, a green button up shirt, and he’s got a soft purple flower on his lapel; I can’t remember what it’s called, but it’s very pretty. He’s holding a corsage in his hands and I walk towards him slowly, wanting to not do this.

“Hey, you look great,” he tells me, beaming at me.

“Thanks,” I whisper, kissing his cheek. He pulls the corsage out of the box to reveal a matching purple flower and slides it onto my wrist. Where are we going, a wedding? I really don’t want to go a wedding unless it’s mine or Macy’s. James takes my hand and we say bye to my dad. Once we get n the car, I take the corsage off my wrist and I send him a questioning look.

“Okay, sorry, Mom made me bring it as a sorry for not talking to you in a while and that fight all that time ago. You know how she is with the romance stuff.” I sigh and nod. I reach over and take the flower off his tux as I remember the paper from all those nights ago. Jenny is a hopeless romantic. She is constantly reading romance novels, fan fictions, you name it, she reads it, and she even watches the sappiest movies. But, according to my mother, she wasn’t always like that. She turned into the romantic she is after she met, got her heart broken and mended, and married to Justin. Just another cheesy romance for the Wyatt family.

“So that’s your gift to me then?” I ask, throwing the flowers into the back of James’ car as he starts driving away. It’s an awesome blue mustang, though I would prefer a green one. Green’s my favorite color, and no, it’s not because of my family’s obsession with The Hunger Games. It’s just a beautiful color, you know? And, really, how could I not love green? It is so perfect. Ash loves green too. No, I shouldn’t be thinking about Ash while on our anniversary. It’s wrong. After I break up with James, I’ll take some time to think and finally start dating Ash.

“Nope, you have to wait until later for your anniversary until later. Do you have a gift for me?”

“Yes, it’s to make girls fall at your feet. It’s called cologne,” I tell him and I gasp. “I just gave it away!” I giggle at myself and smile at him. “Seriously, though, it’s just cologne. The kind that you like best. That really weird name of a kind that I really can’t remember.” He nods and gives me a quick look. “What?”

“You seem really in thought today. What’s on your mind, Heather?”

“Just stuff about certain things that are about to happen, you know, bad things. It’s just really distracting me and it has been for a while now. I’m sorry, James.” I shrug and his hand reaches over to take mine. His thumb runs over my knuckles in a soothing manner.

“It’s completely fine, I just don’t want you stressing about those kinds of things. Tonight is a night for us to be together and for you to relax. So, can you do me a favor and not think about these things?”

“Sure, I suppose.” I smile at him, nodding. He smiles back and we lapse into a comfortable silence. After a little while longer, we finally arrive at our destination, a really fancy restaurant that has a really fancy name, but I know it’s French. I’m not yet good with French, but it’s one of the classes I’m hoping to take in college.

“Ready to go, babe?” he asks and I nod, taking a deep breath. It looks so expensive. How is he going to afford it? James rounds the car after he gets out and opens the door for me. I step out as I continue to stare in awe. After he shuts the door, he takes my hand and leads me towards the restaurant. I walk in silence, and once we enter, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to speak again. The place is beautiful and it seems so extremely expensive, even now. It’s so posh and it even has an orchestra playing, an orchestra. Everyone is talking quietly as the gorgeous music plays. I just can’t handle this right now.

“James, I’m…I don’t understand how you can afford this,” I stammer, and I feel him put his arms around my shoulder.

“My parents gave me a little extra money for this night,” he whispers to me and he walks towards a girl behind a podium type thing ー mind you, I have never been to a fancy restaurant before, so I’m not even sure what most of this stuff is called ー and she looks to be in her early twenties. He clears his throat and when he does, she snaps her eyes towards him and she stands straighter.

“Hello, do you have a reservation?” she asks him, fluttering her eyelashes. Huh, she’s flirting with my boyfriend. That’s a first since Sandy.

“Yes, I have a reservation under Gateley,” James answers, oblivious to the flirting girl in front of her. She sends him a flirtatious smile before turning to her little book on the podium and runs her finger down it, biting her lip ー I think she’s trying to be seductive, but really, it just looks like she’s trying to bite it off. Finally, she looks back up to my boyfriend and nods.

“James Gateley, reservation for two?” she asks him, finally seeing me. Really, I don’t mind. I’m used to girls flirting with James; he is very good looking. He nods and she grabs two menus, escorting us to a table. After we sit down, it’s a completely normal date, only more expensive and fancy. We finally leave after dessert, a yummy chocolate cake that Jenny would have killed for, though I wish it would have been something jellybean related.

We arrive home and I find something very odd: there are so many cars of the family. I send James a look before he gets out of the car, him shrugging in confusion. We make it to my house, and once we enter, an eerie quiet has taken over. I motion him to come with me and he follows as I enter the living room And there, where I had suspected, everyone is seated and they scream and call and are so excited. But why?

    “Let’s see it!” I hear.

    “Is it on her finger?”

    “Is it a diamond?”

I’m confused, but I think I know what everyone is talking about. I turn to James to find him a light shade of pink. I raise an eyebrow at him and he sends me and the crowd of family a sheepish grin.

“I, um, I don’t know what they’re talking about,” he tells me, but instantly I can see the lie. He fidgets slightly and I can tell from his voice he’s nervous about something.

“What?” I hear from Jenny. “James Jason Gateley, do it now or so help me, you are not going to go to college because we will not be paying for it!” James blushes and he turns to me, sending me a sheepish grin again. He coughs once and then he pushes a hand into his pocket, fumbling slightly. Oh, gosh, this is it, you know? He’s going to propose. I spot Jasper in the crowd standing next to Macy and Keith, who has a blonde girl sitting next to him, their hands intertwined. That is adorable, he’s finally found a girlfriend and he’s not ashamed to show up with her in public. Just adorable. I'll have to say hello to Shannon later.

“Um, Heather, it’s been five years, and we’ve gone through a lot. We’ve went on so many dates, we’ve kissed, we’ve danced, we’ve been together for a long time and you know, I love you.” The crowd coos in adoration and he sends everyone a look. “Guys, it’s hard enough that you’re here, but I really, really don’t need your input on this right now. Can you just wait for when she answers?” Everyone nods and they watch us in complete silence.

“James, what is this about?” I ask him, blinking once. He coughs in embarrassment and swallows, pulling a small box out of his pocket. This is it. Time to reject him, and gosh, am I going to reak his heart. I really don’t want to.

“Heather,” he starts, shifting before a phone goes off.

“Bring me to life!” the ringtone sings and we all know exactly who it is. We all turn to Jenny and she blushes.

“Sorry,” she sheepishly tells us before answering the cell. “Hello?” She nods and replies with short words, her eyes going wide and her tone going from nervous to devastated. Something’s not right. Something bad is going to happen, and when it does, it’ll be in five…

    “Oh…”

    And now to four.

“Thank you.” She hangs up the phone.

    Three…

    “Heather.”

    Two.

    “Yes, Jenny?”

    "That was Ryan's doctor."

    And now…

    “Ryan is dead.”

    Not what I was expecting.

So, that went well, yes? James didn't propose. And there was only ONE mention of Ash. It pained me, I'll admit, but the next chapter is all Ashther rather than Jeather.

So, since I've updated, I'm taking a week to write more on Blackridge Prep than this story. Once I update there, I'll start writing on this story. If I can get an update through, I'll update at the end of the week. If not, then you'll have to wait until a week from this upcoming Saturday!

If you don't like it, blame me. I just updated, not because of lovely Shannon over there, who is probably fangirling out of her mind that I've actually got her presence in a chapter rather than a mention, but because it is so hard to not post this chapter! I mean, look at how it went. It went from nervous to happy to confused to tragic!

Oh, and if you haven't checked out Blackridge Prep, I suggest you do.

And if you like the wall art I attempted (I've made such better wall art. My creativity when it comes to emojis kinda fails me.) please tell me. If not, I can try to come up with a better looking wall art.

    Enjoy! And enjoy the wait!

    Love you lovies!

  6. You're not blonde? I, for some weird reason, pictured you as a blonde. Curious, what do you picture me as? It'll probably be obvious, though.

  7. Most Shannon's are blonde . I think you're a brunette ?

  8. Exactly. And that's exactly my hair color. Totally obvious.  But I dye it black.

  9. Mine is brown ?, medium brown.. I want red in it though 

  10. That'd be so pretty. But I have natural red highlights. And we just hogged a whole page talking about our hair. 

  11.  You're so lucky though! You shouldn't dye it!

  12. I would much rather look like a shorter version of Katniss or Thalia. And I practically am just like them, but shorter, nerdier, and with glasses. 
