I morphed through the front door of my house. It looked the same, but cleaner. My parents hated cleaning. The house looked like they had nothing to do but clean. I flew upwards and through the ceiling, ending up in my room. I looked around. It was exactly the same when I left it the night I died. I saw my laptop, and tried to touch it. My hand slid through it at first, but a light glow cane from the surface and I picked it up. "...what?" I murmured. How could I pick these up? I grabbed my old backpack, and got all the belongings I wanted to take, afraid my newfound ability might fade away. I slipped the backpack on my shoulder, and stopped at my desk. A picture of my parents was there. I picked it up and carefully slid it into my pocket, and flew through the wall. Flying back to the cemetery field, I saw another girl. She looked my age, and she was talking to Damien. He looked angry though, and he disappeared suddenly. The girl stared at where he was before she flew away. I wondered who she was. She was, in fact, outrageously pretty. Who would want to kill her? I touched down at the tree, and looked around. "Damien?" I called. "Crystal." I shrieked and turned around. The girl who was talking to Damien was there, her hands on her hips. "Uh, hi. Who are you?" "Julie." she flung her fiery red hair over her shoulder. "Nice to meet you." I put out my hand. Julie stared at it until I put it back down. "Sorry, but I can't say the same." she said. What did I do for her to be mad at me? I just met her. "Do you think I'm someone else? Because you don't need to be angry with me." "Oh, I know exactly who you are." she laughed darkly. "And I won't be angry with you if you just stay away from Damien." "...excuse me?" "He was mine first. Back when you were alive. So I suggest you back off." she said, glaring at me. I felt a burst of anger rise up inside me. "Look, I was treated like crap when I was alive, but that's not going to happen when I'm dead. So I suggest YOU back off, and leave me the hell alone." I hissed. Julie smirked. "Fine. Have it your way. But realize that having me as an enemy, isn't good at all." Julie turned and flew away.
I rolled my eyes and turned away. Who did Julie think she was? Damien appeared, a calm expression on his face. "I heard you call me." he said. "Yeah. Who's Julie?" I curtly asked. Damien looked down, then faced me again. "Uh, she's my ex girlfriend." "Hmm. Well she told me to stay away from you." I said in a strangled tone, struggling to hide the jealousy in my voice. "She did? Crystal, we should leave then." "Why? I'm not scared of her." "You don't understand. She's the devil's best servant. She can send you to hell in a second if she wanted to." My eyes widened. Damien took my hand and started to fly. "Where are we going?" "A safe place. Julie won't find us there." Were we seriously escaping his ex girlfriend? She must've been powerful. I looked up at Damien, and he had a determined expression on his face, like this had happened before. "You would tell me if this had happened before, right?" I asked. Damien glanced at me. "Sure. But that means I have a long story to tell you later." "I... ok." Damien flew down suddenly, and my stomach dropped, since I wasn't ready. We landed in a cave, with a boulder at the opening. It was blocked off everywhere, but I saw a couch, a television, and other items. Damien had been here before. "The living can't see this stuff. I turned it into a ghost object." "Ghost object? That sounds"- "Stupid I know. But it's cool. I see you've gotten the hang of it already." Damien nodded towards my backpack. I set it on the floor. "So. Are you going to tell me the story?" "Oh, right." Damien sat on the couch. I tried to, and ended up falling on the floor. He held back laughter. "You know how I fell from Heaven for lust?" "Yeah?" I said, getting off the floor. "Well... I fell for you." I felt my face redden. Damien got kicked out of Heaven for me? "And then Julie found out. She got upset, and she made out with Satan. Disgusting, I know. And after I broke up with her she resented you for it." That explained how she acted towards me when we met. "And the night of the dance, she went to Sarah and possessed her body. And she pushed you down the stairs." "...w-what?!" Julie was the one who killed me.
