I heard Julie scream along with the other tortured souls. Jason grasped the lever, and jerked it down. The walls closed shut, leaving the room in complete silence. "I thought she..." Jason hung his head as he floated towards me, and undid the wires on my wrists. I got up from the chair right away, and turned to bolt from the place. "Wait!" Jason called. "What could you possibly want now?" Jason took my hand and flew me out of the room. Soon we were in the mountainous woods. "Julie didn't want me to tell you... but there's something you should see." Jason pointed to the foot of a cliff. I looked to see Ashton there, lying facedown in a pool of blood.
"Ashton!" I shrieked. Ashton didn't move. I tried to shake him, but my hand slid right through his shoulders. "Julie wanted to tell you right before she was going to kill you." "What did she do?!" I shouted. "...actually the only thing she did was talk to Ashton. She planted your voice in his head, and told him you missed him. Ashton was already depressed, so he jumped off the cliff." "He committed suicide?" "Yeah. He really missed you." Jason said dryly. I started to cry. Ashton had so much to live for. He wanted to be a doctor, to help people. But he threw it all away for me, and I wasn't even alive. Suddenly, a blue mist surrounded Ashton, and a copy of him slowly rose from his body. My eyes widened. It was Ashton's ghost. He looked around for a bit, looking confused. Then he saw me. "...Crystal." Ashton smiled, a wide grin spread across his face. He awkwardly flew over, floating yet walking at the same time, and embraced me. "Ashton! I…" He silenced me with a kiss. It was fierce, like he'd been waiting for a long time. I wanted to pull away, I really did. Ashton didn't know I had a boyfriend. And I guessed I'd let this slide. For now.
I broke away, and Ashton looked confused. "What's wrong?" "What's wrong?! You killed yourself when you didn't need to! For the stupidest reason"- "I killed myself for you Crystal. You're all the reason I need." I looked away. Ashton lifted my chin up. "Look at me Crystal." My eyes reluctantly met his. "I love you." he said steadily. My mouth dropped open a bit. "I...I"- "Do you guys realize I'm still here?" Jason asked sarcastically, raising an eyebrow. I blushed and floated away from Ashton. "I have a boyfriend." Ashton looked at me, eyes wide. He looked hurt. "...what?" "Ashton, I told you to move on, didn't I? You didn't listen to me." I hovered in the air, and flew back towards the cave. I didn't have to turn back to know Ashton was following me. Jason struggled with giving him pointers on flying. And Ashton crashed every so often. We finally reached the cave, and I walked through the wall. Damien was pacing around, a strained expression on his face. He saw me, and rushed over. "Crystal! I was so worried! Julie blocked my vision, I couldn't find you anywhere." "Yeah... I'm alright. And Julie's in Hell." "Finally. She belongs there." Damien muttered. Damien looked up and noticed Jason and Ashton floating in the room. "Uh, you already know Jason. And this is Ashton. Ashton, this is my BOYFRIEND Damien." I emphasized on the word boyfriend. "Nice to meet you." Ashton sputtered. Damien nodded. "Charmed." he said in his barely-there British accent. I laced my fingers with Damien's, and sat on the couch. The guys awkwardly stood there until they finally took a seat. Damien on one side, Ashton on the other, and Jason on the floor, the only one really focused on the television. Damien stroked my hair every so often. Ashton kept throwing him glances. I blushed at the fact that I was the only girl in the room. A fact that I didn't really mind then.
