I want it to go away ffs

  1. Super exhausting, it's a genuine burden.

  2. This sounds weird af but ex gf has the same problem. She watches abdominal exams on youtube to help her sleep and then she doesn't remember her dreams.

Also, idk what is causing your nightmares but remember to drink lots of water before bed. It's summer so you could be getting dehydrated, and that often causes people to have nightmares.

  3. They are. They teach you everything about dreams. Why they happen, what causes them, ways to help reduce them, everything. I suggest you look into it.

  4. I hope everything gets better soon!

I get paralysis sometimes and I have horrid nightmares regularly with paranoia always piled on top, mostly due to ptsd.

I haven’t gone to any doctors and see a therapist occasionally, but only usually talk to my boyfriend about the nightmares.

I personally find that comfort items and things like weighted blankets for anxiety help. I also make sure there’s some sort of sound going, whether it be a fan or a video, throughout the night incase I wake up, so I’ll have something to focus on. I don’t know if it’ll be any help, but I really hope things get better for you. ?

  5. Do u take any meds for anything? What about alcohol? Both of them can cause this tbh.

  6. i heard that sleeping on your back increases the chance of getting sleep paralysis. maybe you could put your bed in some place that'll help you feel more secure since you dont like sleeping on your side.

  7. Thankyou guys for all the support and advice. I'll definitely be trying a few new things. It's really gotten to the point where I want to. They're not just nightmares anymore, they cause me to go whole nights not sleeping at all.

Also, it's refreshing to see people also go through similar nightly terrors and have been affected the same way as me, even though it is unfortunate.

And to the person who asked if I take meds or drink alcohol, I do neither. I know I would not be able to handle alcohol well, with my mindset.
