At the end of the day, the forums are there for everyone. Regulars complaint about people 'spamming' the forums about being silenced but if you can't talk anywhere else then they will come here. Not everyone knows why they were silenced (look at Leo as an example). There seems to be a thing here (nowhere near as bad as kaw) against noobs and that forum regulars can judge what they consider a worthwhile post or not. Whilst a poem to you may be nice, posting that I'm sick of cyclists not riding in cycle lanes may be something I want to say. I'd get 'fail thread' whereas you'd get lovely comments about the poem. Let's just try and be a bit nicer to each other! If someone posts something you don't like, don't comment and down it drops. Just my twopence worth but there does seem to be a big divide between regulars and the rest. Look at the comments about 'i want to be a mod' and 'who are you'. Peace out. And yes I should have put paragraphs but I don't like them. One ate my lunch while I had my back turned.
So basically you believe in ruling with an iron fist. Going completely against Americas belief in freedom of speech. Censoring what people can say and read is taking 2 steps backwards. You thinking that without harsh punishment the entire game would fall apart shows your lack of confidence in people. If you think this game should be ruled more like communist china than America and most European nations then that is your opinion but definitely not mine.
Forrest. Not everyone knows what you are talking about. This isnt just an American game. I'm from Australia
Well, ok Forrest. I definitely agree that people should have the freedom to do what they want (most of the time) if the only person it could possibly hurt is themselves. In a place like PIMD, I think that players need to be controlled for the sake of other players. Sure, maybe they are in the mood to go tell a bunch of players that they suck. I don't think at all that they should get away with swearing and being rude to these people, because it brings down everyone else's mood and opinion of the game. They would all leave.
Look, guys. My point is that we really need to appreciate these mods and what they do like we used to, they really could just drop PIMD and go find something else to do, but they don't.
Pixie, just ignore the grumbling, attention seeking noobs.. Just remember the more mature and caring part of PIMD is right behind you As for forrest... Yes I believe in a free nation where everyone should have the right to say whatever they want, but where do you draw the line? Total free speech = perverts rule and PIMD apocalypse. Total developer and RA control would be equally as bad.. Think about it ~Noel
This game is called party in my dorm, not party in my daycare.the reason mods are infective is because there is only few of them.the other day they were people writing bad stuff on the CC and they didn't get silenced.
