People say they want honesty.... But when they get honesty they don't like it. What people like is LIES. Everybody likes a good lie. That's why we get caught up in scandal and tell great stories and pretend to reinvent ourselves. We like lies. But who wants to be the one to encourage lying? Lying is bad. That's when people find out they've been lied to they get all butthurt, even if they know very well that if they'd been told the truth it would've crushed them. So we lie. ? If you want to be a good person tell the truth. Tell it bluntly. Never hold back. ? If you want to be a horrible person. Tell lies. Tell horrible, stupid, outrageous lies. ? If you want to be an average person tell half truths, sugar coat everything, play by the book. ? If you want to be great, magnificent, epic, loved, hated, forever remembered, tell big beautiful bold lies. The kind that reel people in, that make them feel alive, be electric, be perfect. But never let anyone know you're lying Until after you die. That's when shit hits the fan.
I've realized I never answered the fourth question. I would forgive someone yes for excessively lying. As trusting them. That's a different ball game.
? I don't think you're egotistical. I could probably forgive someone for consistently lying, because I believe nothing is too big to forgive. ? But It would definitely need to be for a pretty damn good reason, otherwise I'd probably stop talking to the person. Totally blacklist them, but forgive eventually nonetheless.
