I feel your pain. Mine is 5th December (just early enough to avoid Christmas) but my little boy's is the 23rd. We've had to be really strict with everyone about no birthday/christmas presents combined. They've learnt. We can't have parties for him though as it always falls on the last shopping weekend before Christmas. We've now said **** it, we'll go somewhere. Last year we went to manchester to see the wwe. Far more fun than a party full of screaming brats.
And as for May kids, don't get me started. My friends decided to call me "Goldie-May" and send flowers to my locker. That's just stupid, really. They only wilt. Waste of a good decoration.
Awww poor kids! Lol! Just remember that there are some children who are not afforded the opportunity to have a birthday party or get gifts. They are blessed to have life, food, and shelter. Ok back on topic. I'm a gift giver so if I had a child whose birthday fell around or on Christmas day, he/she would get gifts for both. Given that I see many children daily, I'm not too thrilled about birthday parties
