Lol my cats has costed us a fortune, so has out old car and a past dog. Our old dog, penny, a labidor-retriever, we brought her as a pup, we had her for 3 months, then noticed she started to have a limp. It took us $12,000 aus, and 4 months, of tests, and scans to figure out what was wrong with her. She has a rare cow disease, 1-6million, which is caused from the mother eating raw meat during pregnancy, this is the first time a dog has ever gotten it, and vets still are not sure how a dog got it. Anyhow, this disease was in her third and fourth disks in her spine, her left leg lost the ability to straighten out and strength, and her right leg lost the ability to bend, it became straight as a metal bar. We spent $600 a month on medication which had no effect on her, we tried it for 5 months. She constantly got urine infections, treatment for those costed about $400 each time she got it. She would get war infections from swimming, another $200 a month. She was attacked by another dog on her chest and her good leg (her straight leg), surgery to save her life and leg costed another $3000. Then she got some muscle eating disease in her head, which slowly ate away her muscles so she couldn't eat, drink and at one point couldn't move, which is when we put her down, meds for the pain costed $200, and the green needle $80. Such a hard life she was always happy tho My cat from the past, Jack, she died at 19 years of age, 2 months before death she went blind, the night of her death, she was bitten by a snack, she died a slow painful death she was special to me, she was there from my birth to her death, she knew when people where sick or upset, even if she didn't know you, she'd jump on your lap and not let you move till she felt you where better she was very stubborn, but she will always be the most special to me Ruby, my current dog, no idea what bread it is, she has so many mixes in her it's not funny she has a skin infection so we pay $300 a month for treatment, other than that she's fine, just very annoying. Smudge, our current cat. She was part of a litter of 12 kittens, she was found with the others by a park ranger, she was shot in her right front shoulder, the rest where shot dead, my uncle who is a vet saved her life, surgery costing $2400. So now she walks around limping how could some one do such a thing. Other than that just add on food, flea treatments, needles and all the other basics. That's how much my pets have costed expensive things but worth it, I love them all
