It was more of an explanation (and not a super good one at that) on how it works rather than a 'promotion'. Hitting cats repetitively doesn't require much of an explanation.
I don't disagree- I just think you are considerably more bothered by it than you really should be because, if anything, this event offers more to the players than the regular events. Make sure to vote "no" at the end of the hunt when they ask if you enjoyed it. ?
The whole point of this event was for the pvp aspect the only reason they made it a side quest is because they don't make as much money as they do with the cats. However that isn't an excuse to just throw away everyone who doesn't give up money. The free to play players are just as important as paying players.
Oh definitely lmao that's why I signed it the big salt instead of Bowser. But I don't see what you mean by it offers more?
The whole point of this event was to appease the GoT fans that have been begging for this. It would have still made them quite a bit of money regardless of whether or not there was PvP portion due to the sheer popularity of GoT. I agree with you about the P2W aspect of the game. It is very apparent with this hunt, and it sucks. But the very fabric of this hunt doesn't rely on the PvP event. The amount of space dedicated to it on the hunt announcement thread was an explanation of the mechanics, not a full-on advertisement.
I just don't see that as a valid reason to assume that the reason for this being the side quest is because they gave it more information when literally every other pvp hunt has been the same for the last several hunts? but still even as a side quest if that's what it is, it was lazily done, and with terrible progression through rewards... I'm just the big disappointed ya know
Then don't comment why waste the time to comment if you won't read the points... ob it's because I didn't put in colors isn't it?
I agree that the pvp rewards “usually” suck ass, and I say usually because there have been events where they make separate leaderboards for pvp players which have had rewards just like regular lb with t10/100 avis, 999, cats, etc. The only reason why I think they haven’t done that again is for one reason only, profit. The pvp portion of events is supposed to be the “free” alternative to get exclusive rewards without having to spend money (or large amounts at least) but what’s the fun in focusing on their rewards if they don’t make as much profit as regular lb, amirite? ?
Not everyone has been playing during the last few PvP hunts. Every PvP hunt has been slightly different in mechanics. And even with their explanation, people were still confused and needed further explanation.
So like I ain’t a fan of the tier rewards, finding people with even more than 50 swords is difficult on multiple stat levels I’ve tested with, the avis aren’t all that great and I don’t even watch the show so I had no expectations there but still disappointing options. The tier amounts are way too far apart for how easy it is to get swords, ata shoulda started out everyone with a free 100 swords or so that way there’s far more available for taking
A lot of people I talk to have decided to just ditch the PvP since you need 20,000 swords to complete the first objective. Also half the time the swords don’t combine right away. I don’t even have enough time in the day to search for new sword farms and PvP to get them. It’s harder for smaller stats too considering how your max plunder has a small role into how many swords you get off a person with each hit.
I agree this PvP event sucks I'm not enjoying it but I'm doing the best i can... Even then people pay other people to be an hit partner or have "limit" hits on their status
