A/N I thought I would switch the viewpoint every so often, then you could get the thoughts of Kafi's friends/family. That way you can know how they feel about her actions or others actions. This chapter is from Carlos's point of view, so enjoy! Ali. Chapter Four - Carlos Watching Kafi work is unbelievable. I always enjoy watching her work unfold as her hands move across a blank canvas or paper. She was stood at our desk, her red hair, half up with plaits and the rest falling elegantly down her back. The ribbed grey t-shirt really suits her and the skirt just flows with her personality. What she signed earlier still bugs me. I have load she definitely does. But does that mean she has more than she has told me, Corbin and Felix? As I watch her go through her sheets, she looks at us at the back of the classroom. Our eyes meet momentairly before hers flick back to her work. Kafi seemed a bit disturbed after I got my stuff out of my locker above hers, when she stood up. She was hiding something about her childhood, what else would explain that? William, Max and Felix are currently painting the back wall white, while Ana is discussing the drawing with Mr Levesque. That reminds me, what would of Ana asked him about, she always understands the work. The excuse was understood by Lian, but me and Felix spoke about it on the way back. It had to be to do with Kafi. Ana said to Kafi that she had done brilliant, as well as pointing out the space under the table. The only thing I can think of is Pascal. But why would she need Pascal? Ana speaking to me breaks me out of thought "C, come and look at this." I join her and Mr. Levesque at the table, looking at the drawing. I was confused "what am I looking at?" "Look at faces." Ana replies as she spins the drawing so I can look at it the right way up. Then I see it. Kafi has our year group as the people. I easily spot our group: Kafi, Ana, Lian, Noa as nurses and me, Felix, Max, William as American soliders. Everyone else in our year is there as soliders or nurses, for either side. So in effect this is a memorial of our year group and the first world war. I look up from the picture and see Kafi still at our desk. Without a word, I leave Ana and Mr. Levesque and join Kafi. "I saw what you done with the drawing." I say quietly, organising my chaotic area of the desk. "What do you mean?" She signs back, I circle my face with a finger, hoping she would catch on. Kafi nods "I couldn't think of faces. I hope you like the horse you are on." I can't help grinning as I reply "yes I do." Kafi smiles as she packs her pencils away. When she reaches for her pad of paper, I put my hand on hers, and try to ignore the longing in my heart. Kafi looks up at me after looking at my hand. "Your drawing is amazing, I hope everyone appreciates it." I say, not letting my voice drop to the next level, or let the emotion seep through. Kafi's eyes search mine, she's looking for something. Maybe she knows I'm hiding something, maybe she doesn't. The smile she gained earlier still hasn't disappeared, it still sits perfectly on her face. Kafi needs more love than over people, more care, more attention. Especially after moving away from her family in the UK. I'm surprised none of them came with her. Maybe they disowned her, she hasn't told me or Felix about the UK, apart from the weather is worse. We discussed her at length last night, we have never done that but we compared notes. I feel Kafi's hand move from under mine and I realise I wandered into my thoughts again. My cheeks turn a little pink and I busy myself. A hand cups my cheek and I see Kafi again, smiling softly, her cheeks the same shade that mine feel. I place my hand on top of hers briefly, before we both drop our hands. No one else saw, but I'm sure Ana might know something on how Kafi feels about me. We both go back to sorting our things out awkwardly. Out of habit, I pack away Felix's things as well. Kafi wouldn't dare touch Ana's as she is very particular on how her stuff goes. The four of us still here from our lesson have a free period before maths and lunch. I know Ana talks with her other friends, the more upperclass people, Felix goes somewhere, I don't know where. Kafi, however, is more predictable. With a day like today, she would want to sit out in the grassed courtyard. The paint Felix, Max and William have just lavished the wall with doesn't give off a smell. Although knowing Kafi, she can probably smell it still. I catch her sniff the air in my periphal vision, but I don't make it look like I noticed. Mr Patel made me and Felix promise we will protect her before she actually joined their house permanantly. We have both kept that promise to this day, and will continue to keep it as long as we can. I hear the lid click back on the paint pot so I know they have finished. My glasses slip down my nose slightly from looking down too much so I push them back up to the bridge of my nose. Max and William walk out with the equipment they walked in with eight minutes before the end of this period. Ana cones back to our desk, drawing in hand, talking to Felix. My phone buzzes and I check it to see a message from Zac (Patel) so I open it. I read the message quickly, but take in every detail. Cl, you may have noticed Ana on a misson and Kafi hiding more than usual. Kafi said her first two words, stuttered, earlier after I promised to look into getting Pascal into your school as her speech therapy dog. I said she can bring him in when she has built herself up to sentences. If she asks for help, help, but if she doesn't, pretend you don't know. Zp. I know I should delete the message. But I can't bring myself to. So, instead, I change my password on my phone to something Kafi wouldn't think of. 1914… Ana packs her stuff quickly as I chuck Felix his stuff. Like always, he didn't catch one thing. But, ironically, it is always something different. Felix grins at me and gestures to Kafi when she turns her back. I nod in response, he had got a text too. We wave to Mr Levesque before leaving the classroom, three minutes before change over. The corridors are quiet, even though a group is on a free period. I just open my locker when the bell goes and I place my things inside. To let Kafi get to her locker without trouble, I move away so she doesn't flash back like earlier. Ana shoves her things in her locker before walking off without a word. Two minutes later, after putting his stuff in normally, Felix heads off in the same direction. I dismiss it, but Kafi notices too. She shuts her locker and I stand by her side "grass courtyard?" I say over the noise and she nods. We head in the opposite direction to the other two. I notice Kafi's camera bag and smile to myself. She loves taking pictures in free periods. The corridors get noisy so I don't bother talking over the rabble. We reach a corridor which leads out to the courtyard and the silence is bliss. The courtyard is completely covered in grass with a small hill and trees covering it. Buildings only back onto enough for two corridors to lead to it, otherwise, bushes surround it. Taking a deep breath of the fresh air, I walk ahead of Kafi who hasn't moved from just on the grass. She never likes coming out here unless we are alone. I know that sounds strange, but this is the place she relaxes at. The grass sweeps my converse as I walk. When I reach the first tree, I can't help reaching for the low branch with an arm. I brush the bark with my fingers while walking. Instinctively I know Kafi is following now, she always does when she sees photo opportunities. My feet have taken me half way up the small hill. My eyes start hurting so I take off my glasses and glance back to Kafi. Like I expected, she had her camera out, with photos already taken. I lean against a tree, watching her sort out something on her camera. A small smile breaks across her face, so that's when I take a picture of her looking at her camera. I always had my camera on me and its for moments like these that I do it. She asked me one time to take pictures of moments that show her happy or would make her smile. That was four years ago, and she currently has three photobooks with sixty photos in each. I'm still working on this years, it's always been my christmas present to her. The photobook. Design of the cover is different every year, but I have came up with something more unique for this year. I put my camera away before she looks up. Kafi puts hers away before running up the hill, and then past me. I laugh before turning and joining her at the top. We sit on the grass and I scope the familiar scenery. Then I spot something. I get out my camera to take a closer look. Zooming in my suspicions are confirmed. It's Felix and Ana. My finger presses the capture button and I show Kafi the picture. She takes the camera from my hands gently and then brings it up like she is taking a picture. Kafi hands it back so I do the same and read Felix's lips. "How do you expect me to believe that." I start translating what he is saying, but I can't see what Ana is saying. "What am I supposed to do about that?" "I can't do that Ana." "Don't pull that with me." Ana grabs his hand as he starts walking off so I take another picture. Kafi watches me as I watch them for a translation but I can't translate what they are doing now. I take a picture before handing Kafi the camera. She looks through the eyepiece and sees what I did. Then she looks at the picture I took. "Can I have a copy?" She signs. "As bribery? Sure." I laugh and she smiles again. "Was that what you wrote about earlier?" I ask, referring to the flash card. She nods as she sends the picture to her own camera. That wasn't predictable. Well I know for sure, this was definitely going to be an interesting conversation later…
A/N this is the last chapter in a different view point until I find a need for someone elses thoughts. This one is from Felix's view to clear what happened between him and Ana instead of doing a flashback later in the story as I probably would of forgotten by then lol. Anyway, enjoy! Ali Chapter Five - Felix I told Ana we shouldn't meet at that place during free period. She didn't listen. She didn't believe me that Kafi and Carlos always went to the hill. I caught most of what Carlos threw at me, only dropping my jacket. We walked out of the history room through the quiet corridors to our lockers. I just opened mine as the bell went and the place soon streamed of people. Ana quickly chucked her things in her locker and left without a word, like she said she would. Putting my stuff in my locker, I sigh and organise the inside, putting my maths stuff in my bag. Looking down, I see Kafi at her locker and Carlos backed off. Something happened earlier then at the lockers. I shut my locker and walk in the same direction as Ana, feeling the burning eyes of my brother following my back through the crowded corridor. In a minute, him and Kafi would head to the hill. Where they will have a view if me and Ana if they sit in a certain place. I turn the corner and go out onto the playground. Ana is tbere, waiting, with her back to the hill. It was clear at the moment but that doesn't mean it will be soon. "What is it?" I ask Ana. She turns to look at me, her two french plaits spinning in the air. Ana has a habit of doing the geek style ironically, which she is pulling brilliantly today. The black thick rimmed glasses suited her facial structure and boys would often fall at her feet but she would step over them. "Did my dad text you?" She replied. I stand in front of her watching the hill "of course." "So what do you think?" "Humming bird speaking? It's a good idea." I put my hands in my jean pockets like I don't care. Ana rolls her eyes, before glaring at me. "About Pascal you idiot." "That's not nice!" I protest. "Look, just pull Kafi away from Carlos." This gets my interest, why would Ana want Kafi away from Carlos, she never usually cares, "why should I?" "He will only distract her from speaking." Ana glances away from my gaze, she could be jealous so I try a new tactic. "How do you expect me to believe that." "She loves him. I can tell." Ana responds glancing around. She has to be jealous. I can see why she likes Carlos if I'm honest, he has better future aspects than me. He has a slightly slimmer lean figure, whereas my muscles bulked more. "What am I supposed to do about that?" I start watching what I say because I can see Carlos and Kafi on the hill. "Just get her to fall for you." "I can't do that Ana." "You have gone to her crying after every one of your relationships. Just say you fell for her then as they never worked because you compared all the girls to Kafi." "Don't pull that with me." Ana just crossed a line so I start walking off. A hand latches onto my wrist so I look back at Ana. I can't stop what comes next. Ana walks to in front of me, still holding my wrist. Time seems like it slows. She goes onto her toes slightly before her lips come into contact with mine. I pull away and look at her, scanning her eyes "what was that?" I ask. Ana looks away from my gaze, "I don't know." I sigh and I glance to the hill, Carlos passed Kafi his camera. Shit. That's going to be a conversation tonight, if he brings it up. "If that was to persuade me to pull my best friend away from my twin, it didn't work." I comment dryly. My lips want Ana's again but I ignore the urges. I was known as a player, I might as well act up to the stereotype. Kafi won't want me, I know that. We know each other well but there isn't anything between us. There never will be. I see Carlos and Kafi distracted so I pull Ana close again "I have an idea." "Which is?" Ana replies quietly, in the same manner as I did. I take a deep breath "your dad will hate me but we can make it seem I'm seeing both of you." Ana judges me with her eyes. She touches me again, but this time slaps me round the face "next time you speak, say something logical." She comments angerily. I laugh at her frown which makes her pout slightly. Thinking back to my urges, I quickly kiss her on the lips "that's the only thing I can think of." Ana looks away, thinking. "Science." Ana says looking at me. I shake my head "no not then." "We can't wait until the second half of the year." Ana stresses. "Carlos is doing photography tonight for the clubs… I could talk to her when he isn't around. But what's the point? She is closer to Carlos than me. How could she believe what I might say?" I have a feeling in my stomach this could end terribly and put Kafi in a horrible situation. Ana sighs as she tucks a stray hair behind her ear. "I just don't want Kafi to get hurt, or start hating me. I won't be able to do it." I say quietly, my voice cracking showing the pain I felt about lying to Kafi. Ana nods, understanding how I felt, "she knows all of my secrets, but we can never go more than where we are." I comment when Ana doesn't say a word. "Protect her like my dad asked you to. Help her speak if she asks you to, but otherwise…" "Don't help and act like you don't know. Your dad already text me that." I interrupt. Ana's cheeks turn a light crimson before she walks away, leaving me with a clear view of Kafi leaning her head on Carlos' shoulder. I could never drag her away from him even if I begged Kafi to fall for me on my knees...
Chapter 6 I rest my head in Carlos' shoulder, glad of the company. But I definitely won't bring that encounter up, unless either of them say anything. "Don't say anything to them." I sign to Carlos. He looks at his twin disappear into the building "why? I want to know..." I put a finger on his lips and he quietens. I get my phone out and type they're up to something... Carlos looks at the text on my screen then at me, "anyone can figure that out genius." I glare at him and Carlos seems to retract into his shell a bit. That I don't want to happen, I don't want to push him away when he can help me. My fingers start typing again It's probably to do with Pascal. that gets the effect I want it to. Carlos raises an eyebrow "why Pascal?" dad said I can use him as a speech therapy dog. When I can speak sentences, I could bring Pascal into school. If the teachers and principal agree. Ana has been looking into it. Carlos smiles again. The smile he never knows he does, and ironically it is the one I love the most. It comes out whenever he is with nature, or something/someone who makes him happy. At this moment in time, it is me. He doesn't say a word, he just embraces me. So we're sat on the hill in an awkward looking embrace, this is such a normal free period, not. Carlos whispers in my ear "so the humming bird is going to speak." I smile at the twin's nickname for me. I want to say thank you so I try, "ye… S." I reply, a small stutter between the sllyables. Carlos squeezes me a bit harder before letting me go. The warmth in my heart disappears, but is replaced with trimuph, I'm not pushing him away. That's the last thing I want to do. "So when are you starting with Pascal?" I can't speak that much, so I type again. I'll be starting later when I get home after dance. I take it you're doing photos again? Carlos can't help grinning, so that's yes. "Yeah, I'm doing the music and dance club tonight. Your dance club, not the cheerleaders. They don't practice when they are meant to." I know that I am in every photo that gets taken by Carlos but I don't really care at the time as I am always distracted at those points. So many pictures of me dancing end up in my photobooks, they always capture how movement and music brings people together without talking. Sometimes we do pieces where one of the dancers speak and we dance around or near them. Those pieces I like as well, they can show feelings. Carlos has plenty of those with the speaker in focus and dancers in mist, or not in focus. Our halloween dances are the best. The makeup is brilliant, the effects is outstanding, smoke, flashes, sparks. We also do most occaisons in the year, where the cheerleaders just do the sports. They also appear at our cross country events for some profound reason, but most of the time they swoon over the boys which I find ridiculous. I can feel the glares they direct at me and Ana when we join Carlos, Felix, Max and William in their huddle before races. But what they don't know we do it on purpose. The trials for clubs are this week, next week is when the real club starts. It's easy for our group to get into the clubs, our performances are always flawless and we enjoy ourselves doing it. Me, Ana, Lian, Felix and William audition together for music and dance. Ana, Carlos, Felix, Lian, me, Noa and William audition together for music and drama. Ana, Carlos, Lian, me and Noa audition for dance and drama together. It's ridiculous we have to audition for all three, but we wouldn't get in the clubs otherwise. If we mess up in one, we have the other to make an outstanding performance. However we never mess up. None of us do football or soccer or baseball, but Ana, Carlos, Felix, Max, me and William do cross country. Elesa used to do it and is the senior record holder for the girls, and I'm trying to beat it. I snap out of my thoughts when Carlos takes my phone out of my hand. He moves it so it is just within my reach and before he can move it further, I take it back into my hands. I type yeah, always in the time you don't want them to... Carlos laughs "don't you mean Felix." I glare at him and he holds his hands up in submission with a smirk on his face. Do you know how many times he has been hurt. I type and Carlos knows he crossed a line "I know, I shouldn't of said that." I nod curtly and smile. Carlos takes my phone and looks to my messages after typing in the password I use to protect them. I grab my phone back, remembering to change that password, I change back to the note app again and type something else in. What did you do last night? Carlos looks at my phone "apart from messaging to you? I was talking to Felix." What did you guys talk about? Carlos opens and shuts his mouth a couple of times as he was trying to think of something to say. "Well you were messaging both of us, so the answer is a bit obvious." He turns to look at me and I feel myself melt, but remain sat as I was. His ice grey eyes make me lose myself everytime I look at this. I try to remain steady as I type, comparing notes? Carlos grins "of course." I smile then, still looking at my phone. My thumbs hover over the keyboard, looking for words to type. Carlos watches me before sighing looking away. Now I'm really lost for words, so I only type one, what? I hand him my phone and watch him turn back to face me. "I don't what to tell you. I don't know what you are looking for from my conversation last night. Which you probably know about anyway." Carlos replies and this time it's my turn to look away. "You did? How on Earth did you find out?" Carlos comments "never mind, I already know the answer." I grab my phone back and type I'm sorry for prying. Carlos sighs and pulls me close again. I don't mind his touch, or Felix's, or Corbin's or my family's, others I cringe at. But out of all of them, Carlos gives the best hugs. "It's not your fault." He says quietly as he pulls away. Carlos glances back towards school before speaking again "I saw earlier. The lockers. I'm sorry, I didn't realise it would make you flashback." I gulp and look at my lap. Suddenly I feel there are more eyes on me. There's someone watching... I type, shaking slightly. Instantly Carlos stands up and offers me a hand. I take it and he pulls me up. My hand slips out of his naturally when I'm on two feet. The joy in his eyes fall a little, but he doesn't let it show. I want to show him how I feel, but I can't, I don't know how. We head back into the school building with another twenty minutes left of our free period before change over. The smell is stronger here, I didn't notice when we walked here earlier. I tap Carlos' arm, causing him to look at me with hurt in his eyes. Oh great, it's brewing. I waft my hand under my nose, indicating smell. Carlos' eyes widen a bit and looks around. Felix just happens to walk pass in front of us "oi." Carlos says, Felix looks at us. "Oh, there you are, I needed to talk to you guys about something about the project." "No time. It's the smell again." "You stopped me for that? Seriously." Felix turns to walk away. "What did I say last night?" Carlos says coldly. I look at him in shock at the lack of emotion in his voice, so does Felix. "Come on man, that isn't fair." Felix protests. Carlos doesn't stop "the promise." Felix glances his phone in his pocket then at me before glaring at Carlos. "Pulling that card isn't fair!" "Neither is not believing our friend." I had enough so I walked away. I headed towards where the smell was growing. Carlos and Felix were still bickering behind me "see what you done." Carlos growls. Felix bites back "What I done? You have the nerve to say that?" I want to turn round and scream stop. To their surprise and my own, I actually do. Flawlessly "stop!" I yell down the corridor as I turn. The twins stop in their tracks and look at each other "if I knew it was that easy I would of done this sooner." Felix comments grinning. Carlos shakes his head before saying something just audible as I approach "you're heading for another slap." "How do you…" Felix gets cut short by my palm striking his face. Felix glares at Carlos as I walk back to where I was. "Told you so." Carlos comments before jogging to catch up. Felix grumbles again as he follows, obviously wanting something else to do than chasing a smell around the school. I stop where the stench becomes its strongest, outside a cupboard. The sign on the door says authorised access only so I sign to Carlos "test the door, but cover your hand so you aren't a suspect." Carlos nods and covers his hand with his sleeve. When he turns the handle and pulls the door open towards us. That's when we freeze in our spots after Carlos lets go of the door handle. "I take that back Kaf. You were right." Felix says then I sign "marine." when I see the uniform. Felix moves away from the cupboard, "I'm going to the office, and telling them to cut off this corridor and tell them you're calling NCIS." He takes off at a jog towards the office. I text Ana Corridor 20. Now. Dad is on his way. while Carlos dials my dad's office number. When my dad picks up, Carlos puts it on loud speaker. "Director Patel speaking." My dad's voice comes out of the phone. "Let's just say we need one of your teams at school." "Carlos, what is it?" My dad responds. "There's a marine dead in a cupboard." I sign to Carlos "the missing one." He nods before continuing "according to Kaf, it's the missing one." "Okay C, both of you stay there, someone tell front office." "Felix is on his way there now and Ana is on her way here. We've covered that already sir." Carlos interrupts. I know my dad probably smiled at that point. "You took the words right out of my mouth. I'll be coming with my best team. See you in ten minutes." Dad hangs up the phone to get his agents ready.
I'm sorry I haven't got an update yet, I started college recently so I've been busy... I'm going to start writing parts updates on the bus journeys to and from college so hopefully you guys will get more action to read. Here's something in the mean time... Character appearances Kafi Felix and Carlos (ignore the girl in the middle) Anastasia And finally I thought I would add Pascal as I love border collies and think they aren't appriecated enough (/•^)
A/N sorry this has taken too long, started college a couple of weeks ago. There's too many characters to do in first person, so for the sake of this chapter making sense, I done it in third person. Enjoy! Chapter Seven Director Patel makes another call down to a special agent at his desk. "Baker, Robertson has been found at Walker high school. Get your team there, I'll be joining you in a minute." Director Patel orders. Special agent Baker looks up towards the upstairs office of the director, making his three team members to look at him curiously. Tristan and Raphael glance at each other, Tristan with a slight raised eyebrow. Director Patel starts walking down the stairs "is a formal letter through the post needed Baker? What did I say on the phone?" He comments. "Robertson has been found, get to the vans." Baker orders. Alice, Raphael and Tristan grab their backpacks, following their two bosses, Zac Patel and Jérémy Baker. The trio exchange a look before rushing into the elevator. Ana runs down as fast as she can down corridor twenty to where Carlos and Kafi is sat waiting opposite the open cupboard. She looks in and puts her hand over her mouth at the sight "I thought you would be used to it by now." Carlos comments nonchalantly. Ana glares at him as Felix joins them "I take it we're missing maths." Felix says too happily and everyone looks at him. "What?" He responds to the looks he is getting from the others. Principal Walker strides down the corridor towards the quartet "Anastasia you can go to mathematics when switch over starts." She calls down the corridor. Carlos and Kafi stand up quickly when they hear the principal, she doesn't like people sat on the floor unless they are asked or ask to sit due a medical reason. Ana thinks about arguing but knows better, especially when they want Pascal at school. The principal was a dog lover like Mr Levesque, but only Kafi had only noticed the occasional dog hair. They appeared at random times, meaning that the principal brought her dog to school. Eventually that could work in Kafi's favour. "You are to remain with these three until then." Principal Walker orders. Felix is the only one at the school who would try to go against what the principal said and he does try "Kafi signed earlier that she could smell something, you can even check our homeroom video feed. It'll show you the conversation we had." Everyone else knew he was pushing the boat out a little too far. "This one time, I'll let you stay Anastasia. Just don't think this will happen every time, if something like this ever happens again." Principal Walker signals at the cupboard. "Wait, Kafi you could smell it?" Principal Walker had time to think and realised what Felix had said. "As she doesn't speak, Kafi can access more of her brain allowing her senses increase. The smell of cleaning chemicals blocked it for us, but not for Kafi." Carlos explains. Kafi's cheeks turn pink as the explanation progresses. Principal Walker nods "well you should of said earlier." "We couldn't find where the smell was coming from because of first period." Carlos responds. "Well Kafi, couldn't you follow your nose like a sniffer dog?" The principal questions. Kafi signs in response "your own dog could lead you here. You didn't need me." Carlos translates for the principal. "Your own dog could lead you here. You didn't need me... You have a dog?" Carlos looks at the principal in mild shock. The principal smirked "well now I can see why you get the grades you do Kafi. Excellent observation." She walked off and turned towards the office again. The other three look at Kafi "let me guess, dog hairs?" Ana comments and Kafi nods grinning. The two NCIS vans and director Patel's car pull into the school car park. Alice, Raphael and Tristan get out of one van, the medical examiners, doctor Reid and Jones, get out the other. Jérémy and Zac get out of the car and the seven of them walk into the school reception. "Mr Patel, none of your girls are in trouble, they never are." The receptionist greets Zac when she spots him. Then she sees the six NCIS agents behind him "corridor twenty Felix said." She continues. Zac nods and looks at his watch two minutes to switch over he signals his group forward and they turn left down the main corridor. Principal Walker was striding down the corridor "Patel, they're by the store cupboard on corridor twenty. You'll be there in a minute." Zac nods and the group turn left at the next corridor. The quartet smile when they see Zac, then they spot the team of agents. "You weren't kidding about your two girls." Baker comments as Tristan shuts off the corridor with crime tape. "What if the students stop and gawk?" Alice asks. Felix laughs "they're stupid enough to believe that you're actors. Apart from Patel, they all know him." Alice raises an eyebrow but doesn't comment. "Italian." Kafi signs to her dad "yes she is Italian." Zac replies. Jérémy smiles as Alice looks at Kafi "I didn't hear you speak, why not." Raphael rolls his eyes "Observe." He says and Alice shrugs slightly as she gets out a camera. The medical examiners are by the body, Jones complaining about the smell. "It's definitely Robertson. But he hasn't died in the past week, it's decomposed too much." Dr Reid explains to Jérémy and Zac. "How long?" Jérémy responds. "Three weeks. I'm surprised no one smelt it." Dr Reid comments. "Kafi smelt it. That's how they found the body." Zac says. Dr Reid looks between Jérémy and Zac at Kafi stood in the corridor "ah, your adopted, okay." Dr Reid stood slowly, "body bag and trolley please Jones." Jones stood as well and walked back to the vans. Alice looks between Ana and Kafi, the differences where obvious, but similarities where just as obvious. She photographs the body and the whole cupboard itself. "It's a restricted cupboard." Carlos says. Jérémy looks at the front of the cupboard "so it is, Scott, find who had access. Martin find out when Robertson last signed in. De Santis, keep photographing the crime scene." Jérémy orders causing Tristan and Raphael to head back to the front office. Jones wheeled the trolley through the slight stream of pupils who gave him funny looks, but never questioned him. Tristan and Raphael pass Jones going the other direction towards the office. Raphael pushes open the door and asks at one of the desk where the staff signing in book is from the holidays. The lady complies and hands over five paper books, filled with staff names. Tristan chuckles as he sees the pile, causing Raphael to glare at him. Tristan headed over to the site team section, "who had access to the restricted access cupboard on corridor 20?" "The site team and theses people." The guy hands over the list with ten names on, seven of them site team members. The special agents head back to the van and dump the paperwork into a couple of bags before heading back to the scene. Zac pulls Ana and Kafi into a hug "are you two okay?" Kafi nods whereas Ana responds "apart from feeling sick, I'm fine." Zac looks at Carlos who nods. The wordless way of saying she asked for his help. Zac released the girls from his embrace and Kafi goes back to sitting on the floor. Jérémy looks at Carlos, Kafi and Felix, "I'm going to need statements. Ana I know you weren't with them, so I don't need yours." Ana nodded and busied herself sorting out her bag she grabbed from her locker. Alice started documenting evidence by taking pictures before placing them into a bag. "Which one of you opened the cupboard?" Jérémy starts. Carlos speaks up "I did. My prints aren't on there, I covered my hand with my sleeve like Kaf told me too." Jérémy nodded as he scribbled that down. "Okay, when did you notice the smell?" Jérémy asked Kafi. She looks up momentarily and it seemed like she was arranging her thoughts. Alice looked round and watched, "this morning when I walked through the door, the scent took a while to sink in." Kafi signs. Ana translates for Jérémy so he could write it down as notes. "Bleach covered it?" Jérémy asks and Kafi nods in response. Raphael and Tristan reach the corridor where the crime scene is, to be blocked by students taking pictures on their mobiles. "Clear a path for the special agents please." Principle Walker's voice boomed down the corridor causing the students to scatter in a multitude of directions. The two agents duck under the tape "I'm not messing with her." Tristan mutters quietly. Raphael nods "well you would end up excluded after two hours." Tristan glares at Raphael before they join Alice. "I still can't figure it out." Alice mutters quietly. Tristan traces a finger across his throat, "her neck was slashed?" Tristan sighs before making a horizantal slash with his whole hand. "Don't speak?" Alice says, "oh she doesn't speak." Raphael and Tristan go to nod but stop. A shadow falls over Alice as Zac stops behind her "correction, she can't speak due to mutism. I do not appriecate gossip about my family especially since her hearing is so good, so get back to work." He orders quietly. Kafi watches the small cluster of agents seperate after her dad's order. Jérémy talks to the twins so Kafi wanders over to Alice, Ana soon on her tail. Alice looks round at Kafi as she signs "sorry about dad, he just gets protective." Alice chuckles "my dad was too." Ana turns on her heel and goes back to the twins. "Was?" Kafi signs in confusion. "He's in Italy, he wouldn't let me go anywhere without body guards, even though I can handle myself excellently." Alice explains causing Kafi to smile. Zac looks across at Alice and Kafi before watching Dr Reid and Jones put Robertson into the body bag, then on the trolley. Dr Reid starts pushing the trolley with the help of Jones "you push it for a minute Jones, I'll catch up." Dr Reid says, stopping by Kafi and Alice. Jones nods before pushing the trolley under the tape which was held up by Raphael. Dr Reid smiles at the pair, "nice to see you again Kafi." She says softly, Kafi mirrors the smile before signing back "nice to see you too." Dr Reid hugs Kafi briefly before catching up with Jones.
