Josh quickly snapped out of his daze and asked, "What happened to the rest?" The girl Josh fancied chipped in, "Sophie Lawson, 4th Chief Warrant Officer. There was major battle in the fields stretching all the way to the woods. We were sent as reinforcements, but got diverted here." The last girl introduced herself as Taylor Johnson, 5th Chief Warrant Officer. We introduced ourselves and head out to the fields. (Nana's gonna meet Qin here!)
The team escaped the army compound which was now nothing but a large pile of dirt, rubble and debris. They followed a long dirt road down. The could see smoke coming from up ahead, and hurried their pace. Their comrades needed their help. They jogged, but at a slow pace as they were all weary and tired, partly from the heavy loads on their backs. Soon the found themselves on a high ridge, and below them, was a battle so fierce and ferocious even the toughest of veterans would wince at it's mention.
Chapter 4: The Killing Fields The worst ever battlefield: grassy terrain. And this was where the battle was. Below them was the battle Sophie had mentioned. It was a losing cause. One by one they saw lives lost, and Death was victorious. They could feel its presence. It was, after all, all around them. Josh laid the General down and shouted over to Griffindoor over the overpowering artillery fire, "Stay here and protect him! We'll come back!" With that, everyone slid down the ridge and into the middle of the crossfire...
Naomi I slid down with the rest of the squad, but, surprise surprise, an off-target artillery shell exploded a few yards on the left of me, flinging me totally off course, and right into the heart of the enemy platoons. I reached under my shirt and whipped out my Desert Eagles. As soon as I was close enough, I started firing, emptying magazine after magazine. And when I landed at the end of the ridge, I slid my knives out. Charging Towards the rebels, I sliced my knife without hesitation, and was relentless. Rebels fell one after another, blood splitting out from wounds all over their body. That was when mortars started exploding all around me. That was when I realized they didn't know I was in here. That was when a mortar exploded behind me. That was when I blacked out.
