  1. Miss Hutton looked down at the stairs from behind the door and saw Melly and Gina lying as flat as possible. Even though they were not in this girl's view yet, they soon would be. She felt a surge of courage run through her as she steeled herself. Very deliberately she walked out under the door frame and stood as bravely as she could.

The third floor was different from the other floors in that only one staircase led to the center of the entire level. While the second and first floors were dedicated to classrooms, the third floor was mainly used for teacher's offices and storage. After ascending the stairs, the hallway split into two directions, the left and the right. Miss Hutton's eyes darted to the side and saw that she was standing partially between the girl and the right hallway.

“Stop,” Miss Hutton said, her voice strong. The red-headed girl turned her head to the side and looked up at the dance teacher. Now that Jazmin had a good look at her, she noticed that the girl was wearing a different school uniform. “Who are you? Why are you doing this?” Miss Hutton said, waving a hand behind her back and motioning for the Melly and Gina to move to the right side.

“I didn't want to do it,” the girl repeated. “It's just that it hurts, and he makes me feel better...” She shivered, and Miss Hutton saw that the girl was pale, beyond normal and skinny as a rail.

“No more of this, you understand?” Miss Hutton said.

“Don't tell me what to do,” the girl suddenly growled, her voice low. Miss Hutton saw the change in her attitude and backed up subconsciously. “You don't understand me, or him!”

Without warning, the girl lunged at Miss Hutton. “Top drawer of Mr. Szajowski's desk, go!” Miss Hutton screamed, grabbing the red-headed girl's arms and pushing her off.

Gina sprung up like a deer and bolted past the two struggling women. Confused about Miss Hutton's cryptic message, Melly had a bit of a delayed response as she quickly got to her feet and followed. Fear powered their legs as they ran as fast as they could down the hallway. Melly thought she heard Miss Hutton behind them as they rounded the corner.

“Here,” Gina said, pushing open a door to their right.

She practically shoved Melly inside. Slamming the door behind her, Gina ran to the desk and began yanking open the drawers. Melly looked confused a moment before peering out the window to see where Miss Hutton was. The hallway outside was empty, and Melly felt a shiver go down her spine.

“Lock the door,” Gina said, her voice harsh.

“But what about Miss Hutton?” Melly asked.

“Lock it, or I will lock you out,” Gina said, her steely hazel eyes boring a hole through Melly.

Melly locked the door reluctantly. Gina began her search through the desk again, stopping suddenly when the top left drawer refused to open. She pulled harder but it stayed shut tight. Gina snarled in frustration as she began rifling quickly though the paperwork on the desk.

“It's locked?” Melly asked, berating herself almost immediately as she thought of how silly the question was. To her relief, Gina ignored her and continued to tear through every single thing on the desk.

Melly joined Gina at the desk and began dumping pencils from the pencil holder. Together they overturned every single thing on the desk but found no key.

“You don't think... that Mr Szajowski has it do you?” Melly asked hesitantly.

Gina looked up at her through the giant frames in her glasses and sighed. Her expression changed from annoyance to thoughtfulness and she wandered over to the cabinets lining the far wall of the room. She began tugging open the drawers and rifling through the files in them. Melly decided that Gina had the right idea, and began opening the giant closet on her side of the room and started looking through it. A thump on the door made them jump and they looked over. The door handle was rattling.

Gina picked up her weapon that she had left on the desk and approached the door. She looked outside for a moment and then turned to look at Melly quizzically. “What is it?” Melly asked.

“No one's there,” Gina said and checked the lock on the door again before returning to the filing cabinets.

They rifled through every single one of Mr Szajowski's possessions before they gave up. Exhausted, Melly laid down in the center of the room on her back, looking up at the ceiling. Outside, the sun was beginning to sink below the horizon, and Melly wondered what was going to happen once it got dark. Lost in thought, Melly suddenly noticed that one of the ceiling panels was slightly ajar.

It suddenly clicked in her mind and she dragged the office chair out into the center of the room. Gina looked startled at her sudden movements, but didn't intervene. Melly stood on her tip-toes and pushed the ceiling panel up gently. A soft clang sounded as a small silver key dropped out from the ceiling and fell to the floor. Melly hopped off the chair and picked up the key.

Hurrying to the desk, she attempted to fit the key into the lock. Her hands were shaking so much she barely could manage this, but at last the lock clicked open. Gina looked over her shoulder, just as curious as Melly opened the drawer with more than a little trepidation. Sitting innocuously inside, was a small black handgun and a box of 9mm ammunition.

I think this is an interesting place to end a chapter  maybe. I may add one more part, it's a bit short.

Anyway... To answer some questions, the red-head is Charlie, and Mr Szajowski is Josh. Regarding Mac, Natalie and Charlie, I am not finished perverting these characters. And yes, Josh's character will be explained later.

    No more spoilers

  2. Also, sorry for grammatical errors or spelling errors in this and my last chapter. I've seen a few. Please continue to bump

  7. This chapter was a little delayed because I needed to wait for confirmation from my EMT buddy that the deaths are indeed possible. I am pleased to announce that most of the deaths in this story will be completely feasible and for the most part accurate ...
    Anyway...

Jazmin Hutton paused to catch her breath. She was close to Mr Szajowski's room, but had twisted her ankle in the scuffle. She gasped as a hand yanked her arm, spinning her into the nearby wall. She threw her hands up and managed to stop herself from slamming face first into it. A warm weight pressed up against her back and a deep heavy breathing echoed in her ear.

“I'm so glad you're okay,” came a throaty voice. Hands roamed up her stomach and to her chest.

“J-Josh?” Jazmin Hutton asked, her voice shaking from the surprise.

“Yes,” her mystery attacker said, spinning her around again. His lips pressed up against hers and Jazmin felt herself melting into the assault.

Her arm came up to reach around the back of his head and she pulled him close. Their tongues warred a moment and Jazmin felt herself losing her mind. She pushed him away, despite her body's longing to keep him close. “Josh, not now! We need to get your gun.”

“Oh,” Josh said, his deep blue eyes widening. “Sure.”

Jazmin felt warmth creep up her chest as she watched the fit P.E. instructor walking away down the hall. She shook her head and followed him at a limp minding her ankle, her thoughts wandering to her lust. Not paying attention, she bumped into his back as he stopped suddenly.

“Go back,” Josh said, turning and pushing her into a nearby room. He locked the door behind him and peered out the window. “There are three of them outside my office. I don't know why though...”

“Oh no,” Jazmin said, her eyes widening. “The girls!”

“Girls?” Josh said, turning to look at her.

What an inappropriate time for her libido to be acting up! She mentally chastised herself for acting like a teenage girl. Jazmin felt his smoldering blue eyes going right through her and blushed as she responded. “I've been working with two students to try and get to the roof to find a good defensible position.”

“Good idea,” Josh said, with his quirky smile. “That's what I love about you, that mind of yours never stops thinking.”

She found herself in his arms again, and melted into the embrace. His chest pressed up to her back, she felt like a randy schoolgirl. His lips touched her neck and she sighed. It was like he had six arms, the way he was touching her everywhere at once. It was sensory overload as he touched her skin, every spot he lingered on pricking with heat.

Their lips met again, and Josh pushed her up against the windows. His hand slipped under her skirt and she threw her head back, sinking into his arms. Josh capitalized on this and let them fall to the floor. So wrapped up in their lecherous acts, neither of them noticed their growing unwanted audience outside.

    “They've found us,” Gina said.

Melly anxiously loaded the gun, her fingers struggling to grip the bullets as she pushed them one after another into the magazine. Gina instructed her as she stood by the door, looking out through the window. Outside, she could see at least three students standing outside, one of them that she recognized.

“That red-headed girl is out there,” Gina said, meeting eyes with the blood-filled ones outside.

Melly paused in loading the magazine. “What does that mean about Miss Hutton...?” she asked, her voice quavering. “Do you think...”

“Don't think like that,” Gina said, her eyes dropping to the floor. Gina thought back to earlier in the day when she met the charismatic Spanish woman for the first time.

Gina was sitting by herself in the library, reading The Art of War by Sun Tzu. She liked the book because of the stratagems listed within. Her eyes rapidly moved over the pages, and the faster she read the more anxious her mouth twitched. Without looking away from the book, she reached into her backpack and pulled out a leek. She began chewing on it, flipping through the pages as she read.

Outside she heard the noise from the schoolyard. The library backed up to the street side of the school, so Gina constantly got a headache from the other students out front. What idiot planned to put the library on this side? Aggravated, she finally stood and packed her book up inside her backpack before slinging it over her shoulder.

A scream from outside drew her attention and she went the the window. Propping open the blinds with a finger, she peeked out between them. She saw a large crowd of students gathering at the front gate. She briefly wondered if a fight was breaking out, but then the crowd scattered. Gina scrunched up her nose as she squinted, trying to see what was going on. Her giant framed glasses bumped up against the window and she sighed.

“Stupid glasses,” she said as she pulled away from the window and straightened them on her nose. She shifted her backpack on her shoulder again and hurried out of the library.

The flow of students rushing into the building pushed her up against the wall. She pushed her way through them, finally managing to get outside. Once there, she was surprised to see how stark it was without students milling around. She looked at her wristwatch and saw that there was still ten minutes until classes began again.

“Why has everyone gone inside?” Gina said.

She wandered over to the front gate where she saw a crumpled form. Peering down she recoiled as she suddenly realized that it was a body of a boy. Turning around, she dropped her backpack as she came face-to-face with one of them.

Backing up quickly, she wasn't surprised when he followed. Lips were dripping with fresh blood and the sclera of his eyes was turning a dark red. She broke into a run suddenly and made for the back of the school. His footsteps were rapid on her heels as she came into the back yard. The chain link fence that bordered the yard was too big of an obstacle.

Tripping, she caught herself with her right hand. She saw a large branch lying underneath a nearby tree. Hurrying to it, she picked it up just as she felt her pursuer’s breath on her back. She whirled around, using her body's momentum to fling the branch full force into the boy. He went down with a grunt and she wrenched a smaller stick free from the branch. She drove it into the boy's neck, splitting straight through the jugular vein and the carotid arteries.

Her breathing was ragged as she pulled the stick free from the bloody mess at her feet. As she did, blood sprayed everywhere coating the front of her uniform liberally. She pushed her hair behind her ear as she straightened. Then she looked around. From the way she came, she saw more of them coming. She stared down her adversaries grimly.

“Bring it on,” she said under her breath, trying to convince herself she wasn't as scared as she really was.

Gina heard a door slamming from the side of the building and saw the fire escape door was now wide open. Dreading having to face another opponent, she backed away towards the fence. Her eyes widened as she saw the lithe dance teacher running as hard as she could, towards the front of the building. The teacher came to an abrupt stop as she saw the hordes of them gathering at the front.

“Over here,” Gina called, unable to stop the flood of relief rushing over her body at the sight of another human being.

The teacher's wild green eyes darted over to her and Gina saw that the woman was just as relieved to see her. The two stood together in the schoolyard, facing down the mass of the deranged.

“She's fine,” Gina said harshly, her tone warning Melly to drop it. “How is it going over there?”

Melly slid the magazine into the gun and lifted it carefully. “It's loaded Gina,” she said, her hands shaking. “Let's go.”
