Take the plastic lid off, get a paper clip,open it it and jam it in the inderside of the compartment then pull it open

 

You just needed to take the plastic case at the front off

 

Ok I'm not sure if you are even going to take my advice but here goes anyway. If it's still disassembled, there is advisable black band in the towards the front of the disc tray, make sure it isn't dirty.

Reassemble your console, unless you are planning on buying a new disc tray, you really can't do much.

As said before, remove the front faceplate, insert a paper clip into the second hole under the tray. You will feel resistance. This is the manual open. Push it, sometimes takes several (hundred lol) tries. Tap gently on the top of console.

When tray does open, leave a disc in at all times. This helps it open in the future. I leave an old cd in mine.
