CURRENT EVENT Heckin' Dragons in My Dorm!

  1. Hey all, thank you for your feedback on this cross-promo event so far. We understand the valid disappointment coming from folks who wanted to use their existing Heckfire account they've already invested a ton of time, energy and money into, and we wanted to share a bit more context on why this crosspromo was set up this particular way.

The main reason is fairness. For this promo, we wanted everyone earning PIMD rewards to start from the same point, on the same boosted realm, with the same event setup. This allows us tune the goals and rewards around a clean starting line instead of trying to balance around accounts with very different histories, progress, spend, and activity levels. Players who have never played Heckfire before also get a chance to experience the game at an accelerated level.

We’re also using this as a chance to test an isolated boosted realm experience and learn how players move through early and mid-game KOHF. In previous crosspromos, many players struggled to get past the tutorial and into the part of the game where things start to pick up, so this setup is meant to make the experience faster, smoother and more exciting than a normal fresh account. Think of it as limited-time promo to start way ahead, and as an added bonus, you get special rewards for participating!

We also wanted to reduce friction from older crosspromos, where players had to remember old emails, passwords, linked accounts, or follow more complicated steps to qualify. The new promo code system is intended to make claiming PIMD rewards simpler and more reliable while helping us build better reusable tech for future promos.

That said, we want to highlight that some rewards are very quick to reach. TH11 and the first milestone reward can be reached within minutes of starting a new account, and TH13 with the first furniture piece should be achievable shortly after with the boosts provided. Even spending around 10 minutes trying the event out should make some freebies very reachable.

It's also important to note that your existing Heckfire progress is not lost nor affected. If you have an ATA ID connected to your existing account, you can disconnect, try the crosspromo on a new account, and swap back and forth using ATA ID if you want to return to your original account.

We hear the concern that the boosted setup may not feel like enough yet, and we’re watching progression closely. If the pacing is too tight or players are not reaching rewards in a reasonable amount of time, we are open to making adjustments. Keep letting us know your thoughts!

  2. I just saw the rewards and what TH level you need to obtain full rewards...I'm astonished you guys picked TH28 as a choice. Once you get to TH26, you need blue prints, construction plans, top shelf stamps. I don't think this boosted realm is worth it. I'd rather try and make my main TH28 than a whole new account, which would still take me 61 days to do so if not longer because of the amount of resources you need to make that push. Maybe lower the tiers (again) like previous crossovers. Those who can make it to TH22+, let them transfer out to diff realms to join full functioning clans that are more equipped to give ore/resources you need to do those big upgrades and jumps. Good luck to those who make that push.

  3. No Dn rewards really, just lame avis, bentos and the main pimd box is at TH 28 that's definitely a money grab to even achieve TH 24

  4. I’m not understanding this part. If someone wants to switch back and forth they would need to create another ATA ID just for the promo account? Because if you sign out without an email linked wouldn’t you lose account?

  5. no, just like on pimd, when you disconnect device, it just logs you out. your account is still linked via your email.
this new cross-over links your PIMD account through the promo code.

  6. Love the avatars, but there's absolutely NO WAY I start over, not even with a boost. It was a pain enough the last two times and I will gladly not get anything if it means I have to do it all over again. So thank you for the boost, but hell NO.

  7. At least make it acheiveable as a ftp player in KOHF to obtain TH28.
Even if we had to stare at our screen for the entire event length, it should still be doable without spending money. Those who do wish to spend money to get ahead or make sure they actually finish and obtain all rewards, can.
It's just greedy, like every event that ATA does for PIMD.

  8. Oh so you have to use that code to sign in again if you want to swap accounts??

  9. The code is available after creating a new account. You'll see a story banner at the top "Heckin' Dragons in My Dorm!"
that will give you the promo code to paste into the cross-over promo code slot on PIMD under Settings>Account

  10. No, you'd still have to link it to a different email address, link to a Facebook account or Apple Account prior to signing out so you can sign back in.

  11. I appreciate the detailed response, but I still think the core concern from the player base is being missed.

You say this setup was designed around fairness and reducing friction, but for existing Heckfire players it actually creates more friction and more risk.

Forcing players onto a brand new boosted account does a few things:

    - It artificially inflates the appearance of new-player activity, because a significant portion of these “new accounts” are actually existing players restarting purely for the crossover rewards.
    - It alienates existing players who have already invested years of time, progression, and money into their main accounts, only to be told those accounts are excluded from participating meaningfully.
    - It encourages players to disconnect ATA-linked accounts and swap between accounts repeatedly, despite account linking existing primarily for security and account protection purposes.

The explanation about testing progression and onboarding makes sense from a systems perspective, but from a player perspective it feels like loyalty to the existing Heckfire player base was treated as secondary to the experiment itself.

I think that’s why the reaction has been so overwhelmingly negative. Most players are not upset about the rewards themselves — they’re upset that participation requires abandoning the accounts they already care about.

  12. Any idea why my account doesnt show the promo code slot? it was there this morning but gone after I unlinked my old HF account.

  13. Another cash grab event. It’s honestly really disappointing. I understand the idea behind making everyone start over to “keep it fair,” but expecting people to reach Town Hall 28 in 2 months is absolutely insane.

I’ve been playing for YEARS on my main account and I’m still working on building upgrades just to get to TH29. There’s no way the average player is realistically hitting TH28 in that timeframe without spending a ridiculous amount of money.

Unless you’ve got deep pockets, don’t expect to actually complete this event. It feels way more pay-to-win than “fair for all.”

  14. I’m always hopeful that the next time will be better, and unfortunately, almost every time ata still manages to surprise me in a negative way. Because right now this crossover just looks weird.

For the first time, you started talking about “fairness” in a situation that actually feels completely unfair to players who have already been playing. Instead of simply giving new players some kind of boost — for example, instantly making them level 10-15 — you came up with this system that is supposedly about fairness but… where exactly is the fairness here?

You’re basically asking players who already invested a huge amount of time — and in some cases money — to start over just because you want to test something. During the previous crossover, I spent a lot of time and even money, and I still didn’t reach the final level.

Instead of doing this with completely new players, which I’m sure there would be enough of, you decided to involve existing players too. Personally, I wouldn’t even mind if new players got this kind of advantage. Sure, maybe it would feel a little unfair at first, and I’d probably think, “Well, that didn’t exist when I started.” But on the other hand, when I started, the level requirements also weren’t this insane. So you could’ve simply boosted new players.

I definitely won’t play again on a new account just for a couple of rewards that honestly don’t give me “aaaaa i want it” vibe. Doesn’t really feel worth it. Unless you make it super easy to access my current lvl 22 lol (never gonna happen tho).

I value my time more than PIMD rewards. But for those who want to try their luck, good luck to them. And I still hope that in the future you’ll come to more logical decisions.

  15. Couldn't you have, like... allowed existing accounts to continue AND given new accounts a promo code valid ONLY for new accounts? Now THAT would have been fair imo. Not this.

  16. As I said, I understand the need to make everyone start from the beginning, but I think this is something very far from fairness, since, without spending money, it's almost impossible to complete this crossover.
And to spend money, you have two ways:
    1) IN APP purchases, so you don't have the webstore rewards;
    2) On the webstore, connecting a random email address.
That still means spending money for a temporary account, btw, when some of us have already invested time and (probably/maybe) money on a main account.

  17. this is seriously so greedy… especially in this economy. a lot of players won’t even come close to getting half done especially in only two months? be serious… i really wanted the final fem avi but from what i’ve read i won’t be getting it done bc i don’t have the funds. can y’all not make things a cash grab for once and actually make it fair for all players? y’all make enough money from this game alone

  18. Let’s be honest, the rewards don’t really feel worth it for a crossover that’s asking us to start from 0 again. The boosts help, sure, but TH10 is still reachable in like 2 days even without spending.
The first crossover had genuinely good rewards, the second was decent enough, but this one… I don’t know if people are really motivated to do the grind again.

But I can honestly see myself reaching TH25 in around 2 months even without IAP if I played seriously, but that’s still a huge time investment for rewards I don’t even like that much..

  19. Fairness?? 😂😂😂 Yall suck. I'm th27 myself and can name some of my friends who are th28+ and are still playing that game from the first crossover until today. And they're not just regular players they spent money there (do leaderboards) and yall expect us/them to make a new account??? Buncha clowns 😐
