  13. I went to Japan in 2009... Don't recommend going in August, heat was insane. Umm.. They had vending machines almost everywhere which was nice since I probably spent a few $100 worth on water.

Got to eat at the Gundam Cafe... Went to a maid cafe.. Surprisingly rude, no pictures allowed. I didn't plan anything so I was asking my friends back stateside to send me suggestions via social media.

Made it to a couple temples, one with almost endless torii (gates). Those iconic red gates of Japan, stretched for miles. Each with an inscription. Also another, where the temple would "float" in the water when high tide came in.

Recommend picking up a rail pass in the states before leaving. Super cheap here and essential for getting around on the trains.

Hung out at Akihabara, which is known for electronics and pachinko. Walked unknowingly into an awkward situation when checking out a game store. Didn't know when I walked upstairs I'd find playboy and ero all out in the open.

Visited Mt. Fuji. They offer horse rides to the summit. Lots of places to eat offer their selections by vending machine. You pay the machine that prints out a ticket and you take it to the cook.

Went to a tea garden and did a tea ceremony. Saw a wedding by the koi ponds, and also checked out ancient bonsai trees. Beautiful experience.

Also, ate at a McDonalds, because why not? Their large is like the states small. T_T Convenience stores are a godsend, you can pay bills, buy concert tickets, etc, really anything there.

Went to Hiroshima and visited ground zero. There's still an original building standing there. Really eerie and quiet despite being in the city. Saw the thousand cranes. Also the eternal flame that sits there representing peace.

Checked out a few department stores in Tokyo, very high class. Just expect to spend a lot of money. I spent equivalent to $400 on a dress. Also checked out Roppongi at night to see a high rise restaurant and grabbed drinks and late night food.

I stayed a week before leaving for South Korea. Don't think you need to spend a lot on space or amenities in a hotel room. You won't inside most of the time anyway, there's a lot to do. I only stayed a short time, so I'm hoping to go back early next year.

Best memories are created by spontaneity... My recommendation, know some basic Japanese (not everyone is eager to remember/practice their grade school English with you), have a vague plan of things you really want to do, be prepared to travel by train a lot and then just go and explore.

  14. As much I would love to speak or read a different language I can't even speak my first language that well ?

  15. Just got back!

  16. No but I worship that onecountry! Otaku love yo!

  17. ? Been there last month and stayed for 1 week but at osaka and not in tokyo. Was able to see the cherry blossoms which was really pretty and took lots of photos lolz.

Visited a lot of shrines, one of my favorite was fushimi inari, the climb seems endless and really tiring, we weren't able to make it to the top because it will probably take us another hour and it was almost 7 pm that time. Me and my sister were both willing to continue but my mom didn't like the idea since it was dark already and she seems so tired so we stop. Well thinking about it, i wish we did continue reaching the top.

And of course went to USJ 
Other days were spent on shopping and for souvenirs.

One of the things i like most in japan is their transportation-superb, clean air and everyday you would see people on their bike.

All in all, i did enjoy my stay there and wish to visit again someday. ?

  18. Only thing I know about Japan is they have cute porn stars . Hope that's good enough

  19. My friend went on an exchange thing there, she said it was amazing. Even inspired her to get a Japanese exchange student.

I would love to go aswel but I'm afraid I don't deal with crowds very well, or heat for that matter.
I want to go to one of their cosplay conventions too 

  20. All I know is that they are high fashion
