one thing that concerns me is the graphic firstperson shooters kids are gettn hooked on these days! no im not gonna rant against games but the amount of parents I know of that let their 12 year olds sit up all night playing call of duty is desturbing.. kids are supposed to be playing mario cart not shooting up cop shops in gta! this stuff has age restrictions for a reason but to many parents are to lazy to care what their kids are doing and learning as long as their occupied!
Totally agree multi they rate games for a reason because young minds are impressionable and those games are not meant for kids. 17 means 17 for a reason im sorry parents are to lazy to take their kids outside and have hands on quality time helping them expand their minds not infect them.
I think responsible teenagers should play it. Not mentally unstable ones. 12 and under shouldn't play no excuses.
Yeah ._. it bothers me whenever people under 16 are on 17 games... if I was 17 and not able to buy a mature game ( CoD) without having my dad come out of the car to come into the store so I can buy the game, no one younger should be playing
Sorry to knock you off your high horse jopo but it's a little bit more complex than just playing the shooter there are countless other variables. Oh and just because you state you turned out alight doesn't mean a mental deficiency storm isn't brewing in your subconscious as we speak
we got off topic here, i think guns should be banned, just like they are in europe. we live without the need for one and if you end up needing your gun you are probably too late to use it as one shot kills a person (2MAX) why bother with large mags? -,- theres some strange appereant safety going with guns…
I like how movies use propaganda to get shit ideas into people's heads, Like the movies that show a bad-ass cop whose above the law,
Hunters will always use guns and I'm all for a quick, clean kill, which is easier with a gun than a bow I believe. I can understand hunters being understandably miffed if their best rifle is about to be taken away, but not that the general population is screaming and shouting about 'their rights', dating back hundreds of years from when the big bad Brits were forcing you to eat fish and chips. If you've noticed, we're generally on your side these days we don't have a complete gun ban here either, hunters have guns, it's just a hell of a lot more regulated. I've never met anyone with a gun and the idea of having one in the house where my kids are would scare me to death. As for the shooter games, it would be interesting to see how 'real' children perceived them to be in countries with very little gun ownership compared to ones with high gun ownership. I don't agree with young kids playing highly graphic violent games but then to someone who is exceptionally disturbed, the violence isn't always key. If anyone is interested, look up Jeffrey dahmer, a US serial killer who was obsessed with the scene in return of the Jedi where the emperor has Luke skywalker writhing around on the floor while the blue rays shoot from his fingers. Not particularly violent but he watched that before going killing. It's complex stuff...
MaliciousNicky, guns are banned where you live/reside, good for you. Seems you got what you want. You have no say in what rights are manipulated here in the USA. Keep your opinions in my country to yourself till it effects you where you live an as always, refer to my status for my opinion of those who want to take my rights away
I can see how this topic turned to the whole violence exposed to minors/immature adults but lets keep it civilized..
Trust me having guns in the home with children is nothing to be feared. As long as they are kept locked away and you properly educate them on gun safety. Cuz remember guns don't kill people. People kill people
