Jack: well no, you gotta get out! And say goodbye to Dan because -opens the drawer, grabbing the map- we are leaving

 

Lola: -sits back down on Dans bed- no I'm not leaving

 

Jack: look -sits on his bed- you can stay but me and Dan, once I find him, are getting out of this place

 

Lola: I think you should let Dan decide what he wants to do, but I understand. It's not safe here

 

Jack: yeah and he's gonna leave with me. Even he must realize the danger of playing with fire

 

Lola: Yeah, but I'm staying here for a while, I can't go back to my room and I can't leave the school

 

Jack: -stands- I'll get you a night light, you are going back to your own room

 

Lola: No I'm not, I'm staying here till Dan gets back, I can't go to my room, would you want to sleep in your room after your best friend was murdered?

 

Jack: -falls silent- ...what?

 

Lola: Dan wanted me to met him last night remember? We had an actual decent conversation and before we realized it it was dark. We had to barricade ourselves in the cafeteria. Sapphire was in the woods and my brother killed her. I don't know why, Dan was helping me stay strong and when I broke down he's the one who calmed me down, he's the only friend I have now. I fell asleep and he carried me to his room so I could sleep.

 

Jack: I'm uh… sorry to hear that

 

Lola: -hugs knees- yeah that's why I'm staying here

 

Jack: -sighs- just for a little while, but I swear, if I wake up and your starting a cooking fire, your out

 

Lola: I'm not going to harm you, I don't like hurting humans, I feed on animals...

 

Jack: then I'll bring you rabbits or something. Now do this -tosses her the map and a pen- mark the exits

 

Lola: I can't, I don't know them

 

Lola: but if you can get in town you should be able to leave

 

Jack: -nods- and how would I get into town?

 

Lola: there's a weekly shuttle that comes here, it's the only time we can get away from the school.
