  4. If you want something to give you a laugh...

The day my bum went psycho
    By andy griffin

Any book made by him is bloody funny

  5. The House of Night series has been amazing 

  6. The Five People You Meet In Heaven.

It's a book you can read in a week, but it's a story that I believe will live with you forever. A very heart-warming book about a man that dies a cruel death and he meets five unexpected people that have impacted his life, and try to explain why certain things happened to him.

It's also a cute movie, so you can treat yourself to the movie after reading.

    A very beautiful read.

  7. A Song of Ice and Fire series.

Memoirs of a Geisha is one of my favorites. World's Shortest Stories is a fun book full of just short stories. Wicked and Son of a Witch are good as well. Um... Their Eyes Were Watching God, The Great Gatsby, A Farewell to Arms, The Sound and the Fury, Abarat, and pretty much anything else by Fitzgerald or Hemingway. 

  8. Wherever Nina Lies by Lynn Weingarten

Ellie's attempts to live a normal life since the disappearance of her beloved older sister, Nina, have been futile. Every time the 16-year-old manages to get it together, a new but ultimately worthless clue emerges, returning her to despair. Even her best friend, Amanda, is losing patience. So it is a relief that Sean enters Ellie's life just as she discovers a drawing done by Nina with a phone number embedded in the design. Sean proposes a road trip to find Nina, and Ellie jumps at the chance in spite of having met him only days before. Murder, mystery, and romance all wrap into a road trip.

I've read it a while back and it's a pretty good book. If you like mystery and suspense then you'll like this book.

Chasing Vermeer Series by Blue Balliett
    • Chasing Vermeer

When a book of unexplainable occurrences brings Petra Andalee and Calder Pillay together, strange things start to happen: seemingly unrelated events connect, an eccentric old woman seeks their company, and an invaluable Vermeer painting disappears. Before they know it, the two find themselves at the center of an international art scandal, where no one — neighbors, parents, teachers — is spared from suspicion. As Petra and Calder are drawn clue by clue into a mysterious labyrinth, they must draw on their powers of intuition, their problem-solving skills, and their knowledge of Vermeer. Can they decipher a crime that has left even the FBI baffled?

    • The Wright 3

Supersleuths Petra and Calder, along with Calder’s old friend Tommy, are cryptically drawn into another art mystery — this time involving a Frank Lloyd Wright architectural masterpiece, the Robie House. But when a well-meaning classroom art restoration project turns into a frightening search for ghosts, hidden treasure, and a coded message left behind by Wright, the three find themselves in a tangled web where life and art intermingle with death and danger. Can the kids pursue justice and escape with their lives?

    • The Calder Game

When Calder Pillay travels with his father to a remote village in England, he finds a mix of mazes and mystery — including an unexpected Alexander Calder sculpture in the town square. Both the boy and the sculpture seem to be out of place . . . and then, on the same night, both disappear! Petra and Tommy must fly to England and help Calder's father find him. But this mystery has more twists and turns than a Calder mobile caught in a fierce wind — with more at stake than first meets the eye.

This is a good mystery and puzzle series, although it seems like the types of books that aren't for High Schoolers but still a good read.

    Vampirates Series by Justin Somper

    • Demons of the Ocean
    • Tide of Terror
    • Blood Captain
    • Black Heart
    • Empire of Night
    • Immortal War

The year is 2505 and the Tempest twins, Grace and Connor, decide to leave their small town of Crescent Moon Bay after their father's death. They take their boat out, which has been claimed by the bank, into the ocean in the middle of a horrible storm and they become shipwrecked. Saved by a passing pirate ship Connor is pulled aboard by the pirate Cheng Li and quickly adjusts to his new life as a pirate prodigy. Meanwhile Grace is rescued from the sea by the Irish vampire pirate (Vampirate) Lorcan Furey and pulled onto a strange ship. She soon discovers that the ship is not a pirate ship, but a Vampirate ship instead. As they fight to find each other, they discover that they have chosen different paths and loyalties, but will they ever find each other again, or is it too late?

It's a good read if you're into Vampires as Pirates. But the story is well written and it's definitely different from most vampire books.

    The Host by Stephanie Myers

Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away.

Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy that takes over the minds of human hosts while leaving their bodies intact. But Wanderer, the invading "soul" who occupies Melanie's body, finds its former tenant refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

As Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of Jared, a human who lives in hiding, Wanderer begins to yearn for a man she's never met. Soon Wanderer and Melanie---reluctant allies---set off to search for the man they both love.

I was rather surprised that this turned out to be a fantastic novel especially since the author is the same person who wrote Twilight. If you like Sci-Fi then I'd recommend this to you.

    • The Awakening
    • The Guidance
    • The Reason
    • The Counseling

    • The Tidings

I think it's still an ongoing series but very good read when it comes to the paranormal world. A lot of romance and mysteries and of course ghosts.

This is all I could think of right now 

The Fault In Our Stars was a bit depressing and I had a bit of trouble understanding it in some parts but still a good read.

  9. Ooh! I just remembered some! Everything by Sarah Dessen.

  10. The fault in our stars by the genius of john green

  11. The only book I really like:

    Gary Paulsen

  12. Oh yes I do love Grisham's works! I will say I hated and will forever hate Great Expectations! That was quite disappointing. You should also read The Overton Window. It was amazing!

  16. Mortal Instrument Seriessss.. :-D

  17. Personally I think Green's Paper Towns is the best out of all his books. Moira Young's Blood Red Road and Ava Dellaira's Love Letters to the Dead are also quite good.

  18. Cut all the bull**** books people gave you and read 1984 by George Orwell.

Nothing has more cultural impact for past mid-20th century than this book.

  19. Dark Tower Series by Stephen King
