I also wanted to add to the work stories:

I work at a pizza place and the pineapple on pizza debate is ever prevalent (They don’t belong on pizza, even Ramsay agrees. Debate your mom). But I had a couple come in and they are going back and forth on the topic and the boyfriend tells her, “Fruits don’t belong on pizza and whoever puts fruits on their pizza are mentally ill.” He then proceeded to ask for tomatoes on his pizza ?.

Short story short: tomatoes are fruits too. #tomatoesmatter

 

In the U.S., tomatoes are legally considered vegetables; botanically they are fruit though.
