Today a man walked up to me with a regular school notebook, ya know the one with the wire that holds all the papers, he asked me to ring it up for him as he doesn’t know how to work the machine. Since it wasn’t a lot of items (there was one item. One.) I obliged. As I’m ringing the item up it says it is 25 cents. Now the amount of the item isn’t really the issue, it was the conversation that followed:
Customer: you know, we really should be getting a discount when we use self check since we’re doing it ourselves!
Me: ...........
Him: it’s okay, you can agree with me.
Me: I just... rung it up for you....

He then ignored my comment and paid, then left. This is the kind of stupid I deal with every day.
