It's a balance between the community's voice, our own internal goals, metrics and design decisions. In this case, to maintain game balance and overall health we had to remove Super Pros. We've brought wars back a NUMBER of times at this point, and each time after a few days turnout drops to a level that's not sustainable. Yes, there are the vocal players who want wars, but each time we bring it back the actions don't match the demand. PIMD is a very different game than SMASH, and so the focus is also different.
Anyone else refreshing to see what comments are being deleted? Must be nice to filter out the comments that don't fit an agenda or ones that you don't feel like answering. In before this one is deleted too.
Posts that simply quote another player without adding any useful discussion are removed as per the forum spam policy. We do this in most of our threads when we notice it.
It's a balance between making money, providing fun content, and creating a balanced economy. If the community asked for everything to be free, sure we could do it. But the ecnomoyw ould be destroyed, and we wouldn't be able to keep the game running. Not so fun right?
Why my thread about premature party release keeps getting deleted? Or is it like...just lost? Like atas creativity
Why can't we VOTE for it? See what the players.want rather than what you guys see what is "best" to keep us playing for years. Aka ask the honor students who have been here years
So... What your saying is... Me quoting 00_Bravo and supporting him... Is useless... Hmm and here I thought it was my way of basically saying I agree with him, he is right, you guys are wrong, and if enough people make a point of it in telling you maybe eventually it'll get through the thick skull encompassing ATA's wallet to your ability to make decisions we actually like and appreciate. But hey, thanks for thinking that that implication was quote on quote "not useful".
If you support him, quoting is fine, as long as you provide additional information to the conversation. Saying why you support him, or what resonates with you. If it's just the exact same post, that's seen as spam.
After your claim of a "variety" of hunts I need to post something here I posted elsewhere: I remember once upon a time when you wanted to bring the smaller players and bigger players together you released a new version of a hunt where lower stat players only got certain items, and higher stat players only got certain items, so they had to trade with each other to complete. If you really want to have the players interact, give us an event that encourages interaction instead of a hunt that encourages flashing cats and cat clubs which are really what has torn apart the community. It's no longer about helping one another to complete events, it's about hitting as many cats as you possibly can. ATA, I have been on this game for the entire time you've had hunts. So I know you guys have come up with a variety of hunts, but don't say you mix them up. The vast majority of hunt styles you've done have disappeared for years. 9/10 times now every hunt is 1) about constantly hitting cats 2) top 10/100/500 to get anything decent 3) for avatars. Aside from the 2 party events which you stopped creating and now only recycle occasionally, which are pointless for those who have done them already. So here's what I would like to see: Hunts for items only: like the cute key hunt, tux the penguin and the VIP lion thrown randomly in between the other hunts - something to break up the monotony. Another idea would be something like the hunt where we had the hipster mermaid, where the avi's were in the box as well but there is no top whatever to hunt for - something that EVERYONE has a chance at not just those flashing. Hunts for avatars only like the game of thrones hunt and the others done around that time - you knew your key would open an avatar for sure, you didn't have to get top anything to complete. If you bring back 2 party events, either give us new parties or new content - and I don't mean 2 new stat items. These are probably the little bit of variety we do get, unfortunately since they've been recycled so many time, many have everything from them so there's nothing to try for. Have special avatars drop from parties directly for a weekend like when the old Halloween avatars came back or when the new avatars came out. And again, give us a hunt that encourages team work. The original Christmas hunt my entire club worked together to get everyone their pugs and got their avatars. It was a group effort instead of "sorry, I want that avi so I'm leaving club to go flash" and yes, we hated having to gift each other hundreds of pugs, but considering every new hunt now comes with daily gifts with ridiculous limits, you obviously don't care about our gifting issues anyway. If you rotates through different types of hunts above, add in color wars etc, people may get less bored with constant EVENTS, because we won't feel one we're doing the exact same thing over and over. Changing things up every 3-6 months when we have a new hunt every week practically is not variety. You've come up with MANY hunt styles, yet we only ever seem to focus on one at a time.
Of course the demands goes down since you guys always add sudden 2x CAT PROMOS during major planned war events! Further more, spamming weekly hunts not letting us breath!
So you use the profits to make new fun content for your players, but then remove it to make even more profit and give us no new content? So you get new profit and we get something taken from us. Where is this "balance" you have been talking about and when will it occur? It seems like we give and you take. Or am I missing something? I am not being hostile or trying to be rude. I am just asking questions which I think this is the purpose of this topic.
I can confirm I no longer watch ads because of the poor drop rate. The combination of new items monthly and the poor drop rates means I have no chance of completing anything, so why try?
Definitely possible. Will bring this up at our next design meeting. Our revenue helps us make new fun content yes. In this specific case we did have to remove content, that being Super Pro Parties. We generally don't remove content unless absolutely necessary. It's not a fun experience for anyone. Not for players, and not for us. We'd much rather be working on bringing more fun and magic to the game than taking it away. But again this was necessary in this case, as much as it sucks. And thanks for keeping things civil <3
Okay slow down people, it's not really greedy, they're a business after all and he is right, they need a constant revenue in order to continue, yes sadly it feel under a pay to play type of mobile game, but one thing I do appreciate about them is the fact that they're here... What I mean by that is, they're discussing with us, I haven't seen other mobile games where the devs took time to talk to us. Sadly yes, it's kinda pointless for them to listen to us when they're not gonna really listen in the end. Someone said that the forum community is only 5%, well I say we represent the game cuz the other 95% are sheeps and are scared to speak up or just doesn't care.
