Hey, how about hunts that you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars on to get the top avatar occasionally??? Why does EVERY hunt have to be about the ten people willing to spend the most money in flash? That would be BALANCE.it would REWARD players outside of the top 10. Oh, wait, that wouldn't benefit you in any way so what would be the point, right? Seriously over this game.
How about you actually listening to your community!? Start giving us some of the things we've been asking for forever... including iwars/beta wars, new rs gifts, new store items, pvp promos, different hunts (yes the pins hunt was different but the rest are basically the same). You want your lost revenue back? Give us a reason to spend money on this game again
We liked them too, and we're going to see what we can do to bring the same kind of fun back in some way. The Avatar collection idea between parties was definitely fun, and gave you a reason to move around and try out different parties which is something we like to encourage.
For Beta Wars, please see my earlier comment in this thread.. In short though, as much as some players want them, the turnout when we bring them around isn't enough to sustain them. For RS Gifts, we can definitely look into this. It's been far too long since we've added some. For Store Items what kind are you thinking of? For PvP Promos, what would this look like to you? What would it have you do and how would it work? For Hunts, we've tried different formats. Pins were one, as are colour battles, daily leaderboards, and experimenting with different methods to obtain avatars/rewards.
This is bogus. I notice how in every answer, they never directly confront the revenue topic.. Prolly because we already know it's true. ??
You are right and we did mention in the OP that revenue was one of the things that were affected in addition to other metrics.
? Oi. So did you monitor the number of different metrics to how cat cafe has ruined the diversity in parties or that's good as long as it's bringing in revenue? Did you also monitor the "metrics" of how hard it is to get ec's without buying them? Tell me, how else do players get Extra credits without buying them? Jobs? When last did you update those jobs anyway? The game never had balance. You say it's affecting the players but you don't see us complaining Metrics ...Metrics my ass.
so now we wait for 5x cc promo. btw ata, super pro were unfair yet cat cafe was fair to player and social aspect of game. feel free to refute this
So y'all took super pros away because of revenue. All that other low stat players having a hard time or whatever is just a cover up basically.
Ok so you admit it's about Revenue The amount of parties being started has dropped? DUH!!! Did you guys even bother to look at the time limit per SPP and how long it took to finish compared to Pro's? The basic percentage would probably be about the same. Maybe a little bit of decrease because SPP are 2-3 hours LONGER!! That just means you should get rid of Pro parties to. Because those take longer then normal parties. SPP take longer the the payout is better then Pro's. Which helps everyone grow. And on top of it all, everyone who can't hit a Pro parties or even SPP are in sub clubs growing or learning the basics to this game for when they do get the adequate stats to hit Pro's they move up to the main club. But I'm sure you didn't factor in all that did you? Basically all the you fed us on this was REVENUE. Congrats.
You've tried different formats, but you do the same format over and over until you run it into the ground. Instead of taking the 20 different hunt styles you've come up with and rotating through them. And you deleted my other comment so I'll make a couple points again. 1) why did you lie originally and say they were here to stay if they were always an experiment only? 2) You still haven't given us a valid reason besides your revenue drop. Obviously when parties are 6-9 hours long there will be fewer of them started than 2-3 hour parties. That's an absolutely ridiculous number to cite. As for a drop in the number of people partying, this last hunt was awful. Some enjoyed it but to most the avi's were hideous and the pins pointless and do nothing but make our showcase and gift screen a mess. This has nothing to do with the existence of super pros, and since more were added before you took them away, i'm guessing this problem is more recent. 3) this is the only major change you've made in years that was actually well received by the community, and you took it away, what kind of message do YOU think that sends your players?
You never 'experimented' with beta timings. Did it occur to you that this is an international game? And that 1am, 8am are horrific times in the UK to war and 1pm were all working then 8pm we could actually war. 1 war daily was never good enough. The BEST hunt you ran was 2-3yr ago with the wars that dropped Easter eggs. It's the ONLY hunt you fully integrated wars with parties. And you never did it again you never do the right things twice!
If you're still spending on this game after reading this bs you really need help and a personal accountant
Of course super pros were going to take spotlight for a bit, they were new and exciting to all of us. They gave higher stat members a higher payout, and lower stat members something to look forward to as they continue upgrading. Also, if I may add, I have not seen one person thanking you for removing the super pros.. This is honestly a bad call on your part, ata..
Give us them super pro avatars for free ata I'm sure they will help the little players a lot like you want right it's only fair you give us them
Yes revenue is a part of it. We're a business after all and making money is a necessary thing. It allows us to keep PIMD around for years to come. That said, it is a balance and there are other factors that go alongside our considerations as well. Including the other metrics mentioned. It's not quite as simple as seeing a single number moving up and down, but rather how each piece impacts everything else as well. We understood Super Pro Parties would cause.a shift in these, but not one so drastic that it upset our game balance. We'll definitely continue to evaluate and see what changes we can make, and how we can bring about more fun to PIMD. As we continue to evaluate progression, we'll know more and be better able to address the impact of a Super Pro style party and see what other alternatives may exist.
