Adenae felt she deserved a nice dip in the cool waters of Green Breeze Beach. She had to buy a new bikini, this one had a ruffle top and bottoms. It was a cherry red, fitting her perfectly. She look towards the open water and imagined being a dolphin. It would be nice to be free like that. That's when she saw him. Charlie was to the right of her stretching his arms, his biceps nicely being shown off to a group of college girls that seemed to care not, that people could tell they were staring. His body looked perfect in this lighting, but then again, it looked perfect in any lighting. His tan had gotten extremely nice, and his hair had grown out a bit, something she hadn't noticed before. It was strange that at this moment she couldn't help but be upset at him. She approached him quickly ready to hit him of he happened to say the wrong thing. "Adenae. I've been meaning to talk to you." He didn't even look at her. He turned away and started walking but stopped when she didn't follow. "just come on. I know your upset but just follow me." She was completely stupefied. He hadn't talked to her in weeks and now he wanted her to follow him who knows where. Perhaps the back of his jeep like he did with Jessie. Well Adenae didn't really know if he and Jessie actually did it in his jeep but typical sex spot isn't it? The back of a car just seemed simple and there. The thought disgusted her to think about but now she didn't know if she could get in his car again. She cringed but then realized her feet were moving and she was indeed following Charlie now. He led her through the crowds of college students partying by the bonfires and playing beach volleyball. When he stopped she stood next to him and gave him a scolding look. "Adenae, don't look at me like that. As cute as it is, I wanna see that beautiful smile of yours." "What the hell Charlie! don't tell me any of that crap! I.." Charlie quickly cut her off by kissing her. The kiss was so sweet and it was perfect. "now, I want you to look over there." Adenae looked in the direction that Charlie was pointing. In the sky was a plane with a large banner. It was waving magnificently, the words were large and bold. Adenae, will you marry me? . She was even more shocked than she had ever been before. Her heart seemed to stop completely and her head was spinning. The ground below her was no longer there and the sky above her had become nothing at all. She felt Charlie hacking her, his strong hands lightly gripping her shoulders. "Adenae, are you okay? I know it's so sudden but I thought long and hard about it and I think it's right."
Haha happy endings are sappy and always happen. Sure there are gonna be happy endings for some of the characters but i cant say they will all be happy...
"Charlie, I-I-I don't know what to say. " "just say yes Adenae...please say yes. I love you more than words can explain. Your so beautiful. Your flaws perfect you. Your everything and anything a guy could ever want or need. Adenae, will you be my wife? " And with that he was on one knee. He pulled out a small red box. In it was a beautiful engagement ring. It was made of white gold, the band was beautifully decorated with diamonds embedded into the sides. The center diamond being the largest, and most beautiful. It was cut into the shape of a flower. It was absolutely magnificent. She fell to her knees and threw her arms around his neck. He held her for a long time and the ring fit perfectly. "So is that a yes?" "Charlie, of course it is! Can we go home now? People are beginning to stare." He drove her home, she had completely forgotten about him and Jessie and the backseat. She was finally gonna be with Charlie and nothing was gonna ruin it for her. A car screeched to a halt, a large thump could be heard and a scream so high pitched it could only be made by a woman. There was blood everywhere, and the front bumper was deeply dented in. The body was mangled but it was obvious who it was. The driver had been pushing 80 in a hurry to get home where her parents were just about to pull in and she was returning home from a late party. Nuur was absolutely horrified at what she had done. She was a straight A student, no office referrals, and she was class president. She was validictorian of her class and she received scholarships from three ivy league schools. One simple mistake, this one flaw in her plans was gonna cost her everything now. In front of her was the mangled, broken body of Josh. He had been best friends with Jodie, a fun loving guy with a great sense of humor. He had been handsome, but because of her he was dead. She was so stricken with shock she didn't known what to do, so she stood there looking down at his body. She felt numbness and nothing else now. She later found herself at home in bed. The police had announced it as an accident, though Nuur was fined and would have to serve a hefty number of community service hours, they had decided she had experienced a traumatic accident and was mentally punished enough by it. A witness had said Josh was busy texting when he stepped in front of the car, he was texting his mother, which they found out later on that she had ironically told him to watch out for cars. The funeral was to be held that following Friday and school would be let out early that year. That meant no prom. Graduation would be hard to pull through but they would do it somehow.
The funeral. It was black, depressing and a rounded Jodie wore an appropriately black dress that showed her new baby bump perfectly. She and Joe had not planned it, but there was nothing else they could do now. At two months, she had already grown quite large. The doctor had told them they would be having twins. Joe sat beside her, he was obviously quite happy now, except for the unfortunate day and josh's death. Jodie had been crying endlessly as Joe held her tight. He had finally convinced her crying and being so upset would be bad for the babies. Kelly arrived looking as flawless as ever. With her was Drake. The two made a nice couple. Gabby came with some of the girls from the soccer team. The group was crying, patting each other on the back and trying to comfort one another. James and Zachary came together. It wasn't hard for them to find something to wear. Today they looked extremely sharp though. Both wore black suits, both had their heads hanging and hands in their pockets. Jessie came with Chance. After the whole Charlie thing, Jessie found Chance to be an adequate enough replacement. She was able to put up with his attitude and he was able to put up with her clingy personality. As for Adenae and Charlie, they arrived as everyone else had found seats. She wore a simple black dress and her grandmother's pearls. Charlie went with a plain black button up and dark dress pants. He held her hand the entire time but he couldn't help but think of how beautiful she looked, even when mourning.
Graduation had a nice large turn out. Nuur was still given the title of valedictorian but because of reckless driving and manslaughter, her scholarships were taken away. Jodie was there with Joe, and later had a bouncing baby boys and a precious little girl. They named him Joshua Joseph Greene and the girl was named Jessica Marianne Greene. The two ended up getting married and Joe went to college and majored in business. Jodie, started a day care center for teenage mothers and became active in her art career. Gabby, though only a sophomore now, got a scholarship to play for soccer league in Spain. Zachary and James became close again and started dating twins. The girls turned out to be bikini models and the two guys promised they would never pull a tiger woods. Jessie went to college and majored in fashion. She and Chance decided they were in love and live in an apartment in the bustling city of New York. Kelly, though she never got prom queen, went to law school, along with Drake, who still follows her around quite a bit but now they hold hands as he does so. Adenae and Charlie's wedding was absolutely beautiful. It was perfect and a memorial for Joe was set up at the wedding so that he too could be there. Adenae went to college and majored in psychology while Charlie went to another college on a football scholarship. The long distance relationship is hard but the love is strong and they always look forward to the next time they see each other. Life is hard but love is harder. It's in high school when you learn those hard lessons.
