Lol well I can promise a new part will be posted tomorrow afternoon. It would be that morning if not for state testing.
A strong gust of wind blew through the courtyard stealing someones worksheet. It seemed to tease them as they chased after it, it's movements jerky and unpredictable. Adenae watched as the blue hooded freshman jumped up and caught it, handing it to the unfortunate victim. Gabby was an excellent soccer player. Lazy but exceptionally good for a small freshman. James had began to walk towards her but she had not realized it in time to make an quick get away. His eyes watched her carefully, almost as carefully as she watched him. “Adenae, hi.” His voice moved over her like silk. It was smooth, but his smile was hard to read. “Hi. I actually should get going. Sorry.” She thought she saw a hint of disappointment but it disappeared as quickly as it appeared. He lightly touched her arm sending a chill through her. “It's fine. I'll talk to you tomorrow.” He was serious when he said this. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing but the way he made her stomach knot up made her almost queasy. She quickly turned and walked away but she could feel his eyes follow her. If not for Charlie she may have walked into a wall. He grabbed her into his arms and held her. She could smell the distinct smell of axe and his muscles were obvious even through his thick hoodie. “Adenae Aidan Bitonio, I’ve been looking for you everywhere.” He had finally released her and it took James off her mind so be seeing Charlie again. He was her best friend. They didn't see much of each other but they had become friends during middle school and their friendship had grown from then on. He hadn't changed very much in personality but his physical change was dramatic. Joe was quickly walking over. It wasn't a surprise that the two would be close friends, especially considering Charlie was the best football player they had in a long time. Close behind Joe was Kelly and Jessie. It wasn't hard to guess Jessie had in mind to make Charlie's hers. She was a nice girl, but had a habit of being stuck up and she was never really single for long. She partied just as much as Kelly, if not more. “Hey Charlie, Joe!” Jessie's enthusiasm was so obviously fueled by her crush on Charlie. She didn't care to say hi to Adenae, or even acknowledge her presence. Charlie moved over towards Adenae, placing his hand on her lower back. This was one of his moves. She was surprised he wasn't interested in Jessie. She pretty, popular, a cheerleader, not to mention she was friends with Kelly. Guys often dated Kelly's friends to be closer to her. “Hey Jessie. Hey Kelly. Sorry ladies, Joe, but I gotta get going. I promised Adenae I’d give her a ride home. I'll see you guys later.” He gently propelled her forward, his hand still on her back. They walked to the parking lot where Charlie's jeep was parked. She could still feel Jessie's spiteful green eyes boring into her skull. “Adenae, don't let her bother you. Jessie is cool and all, but she gets jealous. Not that i'm interested or anything She came to one of Joe's party this past weekend and I kinda flirted with her a little. You know how I am . But anyways, just forget about her. Sorry about using you as a means of escape.” They had stopped at the passenger door. He opened it and motioned for her to get in. The interior smelled like air freshener and axe. The radio was set to a random station it seemed. It was playing Beethoven.
Haha i wasn't really guessing ... I just love the smell of axe.... @everyone: sorry bout the typos...I'll probably repost it again after I fix it and I'll get back to writing.
@Charlie. Well if I can finish my work early today I'll work on it then. @c. Idk...that's just how I was able to work your character in there. Lol
