KARMA chapter 1 I hurried across the backyard and into the surrounding woods. The police were likely to arrive at any time. I left the bodies in their beds and my trademark star made out of blood on the wall above each one. "You've done well, Silence," A voice said as I hurried through the trees, "Those people were all involved in fraud, they deserved to die," "I know, Virtue," I replied as a face appeared in the shadows. "Now let's get the heck out of here," Virtue said. We ran into the night, side by side. We hurried back to our van parked at the other Side of the woods. "See? They've already noticed a gang going around," Virtue said, turning her laptop around so I could see the news. NEW GANG TARGETS CRIMINALS "Well at least they've noticed we only target criminals," I smirked. "Theirs more, Karma is On The Move, look, people are starting to call us Karma," Virtue chuckled. The other girls chuckled back. Cherish fell back into her chair, laughing her head off. "What's so funny? I think it's a fitting name," I said, taking a seat. "It fits almost too good," Wisdom said. She typed in the name on one of her many high-tech computers. "You can say that again," Serenity said, looking back at us. "Keep driving, Serenity, I swear, someday we're gonna crash," Virtue said. Serenity turned to the road and drove at her to-fast pace. Virtue, Silence, Cherish, Wisdom and Serenity aren't our real names. My real name is Nicole, but I abandoned that name long ago. I don't know any of the other girl's real names, we've been calling eachother virtue names from the very beginning of our gang, which was about a year ago. "Who's next on the checklist for tonight?" I asked Virtue. "Bethany Adams, she apparently stole $1000 dollars from a local bank and spent it all on shoes," Virtue replied. "Alright," I said.
Chapter 3 "Okay, as of tonight, we have ridded the Chicago area of 26 petty criminals," Wisdom read from a stat paper. "I think we can kill actual, hardcore criminals!" Cherish said, raising a fist up. "It would be nice to kill the more hardened criminals," Virtue replied, "But of course, we wouldn't be able to simply send Silence into their home and kill them with a simple dagger. What are you're thoughts on this, Silence?" All of the girls turned to face me. "It definately would be harder," I replied, "But if we take the right precautions, it is a thing to consider." "I could hack into some prisons and shut down their security systems," Wisdom said, typing feverishly on one of her computers. "I could sneak into the prison beforehand and knock out guards," Cherish said. "Then it's settled, in a week, we kill all the criminals held in this prison," Virtue said, showing us a picture of a large brick building that appeared to be in the middle of no where. "That's a prison?" Serenity asked. "Of course, you expect it to be some sort of hard core place with electric wires and cement?" Virtue replied. "Well, yea..." Serenity mumbled, sliding back into her seat. "I wouldn't be able to kill all 200 inmates," I told them. "You won't be alone, Cherish, me and Serenity will be there for back-up," Virtue said, "I won't let you take ALL the credit." "Cherish? Are you sure 'bout this?" Serenity said, turning to Cherish. Cherish was a small girl, with long wavy brown hair and a love for puppies. She also served as a con artist for our group, Karma. She isn't put into fights very often, so we worry about her if she's ever caught. "Well, you need all the help you can get," She replied. "Alright, so next week?" I said, turning back to Virtue. "Next week," She confirmed.

CHAPTER 4 -Jax- I studied the landscape below me through the window. "Karma..." I mumbled. "Jax, you're tea is ready," Sam said from behind me. "Thank you," I replied, taking the tea and sipping it. "You have a meeting for the Karma case next Friday, I'll make sure to label it on your calendar before leaving," Sam told me. Then he walked out of the room. I reveiwed the facts over in my head. One, someone, possibly a group or gang, is going around killing criminals. Two, they usually kill victims with some type of knife or dagger. Three, a blood star was drawn on the wall above every victims body. It wasn't much, but it was what I got so far. "Make sure you don't forget to feed the cat again. Oh yeah, and PLEASE remember to feed yourself," Sam said, entereding the room again for some last few words. "I'll try my best," I replied, still looking outside the window. I had already starved two cats to death, yet Sam still had the heart to get me a third. "Jeez, you can't even live by yourself and you're what, 20?" Sam mumbled. "19," I replied. Sam just gave a small hmph before closing the door and hurrying to his car. I walked over to my desk and switched on the small lamp I put there. This was not going to be an easy case.
