    I guess anything can be taken as an insult. Like @Maddi_Matsu said, it comes down to tone and context. But as a substitute for bitch? I think that's stretching things imo... If people want to say bitch, they say bitch. 🙃

  2. I used to say "female dog" when I was like 11 and wanted to get around cursing, since I wasn't allowed to. 😂

  3. My mom made me look up the definition in a dictionary and write an essay about it the first time I said "bitch".🤧 I didn't even attempt curse at all for a while afterwards 😂... Around her 🤭🤫

  4. I know the answer. Female is a bad word because it contains the word male. It's 2019 and male is a bad word now because of the patriarchy and such.

  5. Actually, that notion is a characteristic of second-wave feminism, not third-wave feminism. Anyone that subscribes to beliefs like that is acting more like the feminists of the '60s and '70s that made a trend of using words like "womyn".
