don't want to rain on your parade but a lot of the story was obviously bs. They ripped out their organs, were half dead, yet could attack people? Scientists and specially trained soildiers, each would have saw much worse during ww2, were scared of what they seen? When 2 of the 5 smeared shit over the windows, it took the scientists 3 days before they decided to check on them, also near the end it says they used brain monitoring machine, which was not invented until 20 years after this story supposedly occured. Don't get me wrong, i'm pretty open minded, perhaps something like this test did happen, after 5 days its possible that the subjects did start going insane, and did begin to claw their own flesh, like some A class drugs can do to you, either from dylusional thoughts or by hylusionation. Its also possible the ripped out their own organs and survived for a few days. But the story in itself is clearly fabricated to make it into a gore filled horror story, simply to make us feel scared. The story is pretty blunt, their is no emotional attachment to any of the subjects nor in depth information on the test and results. So for me, I didn't feel scared. The writer was an unreliable source and their was no other sources to back up the claims. :|
The machine was invented but only able to record brain waves of animals, it was like 1950s when they released the machine to monitor human brains* which would have been after the story occured

People could go insane and paranoid but I doubt that they kill themselves or ripped out their organs ? maybe the rest did happen but ppl made it worst than it really was prolly idk
