This remind me when I was in primary school, about 7-12yo, where many students (not all, some are pretty much mature for their age) were having petty quarrels that ended up with petty conclusions like:

"If you are friends with this guy, I'm not going to be your friend!"

OR

"Hey! Let's not befriend MisterX because he is friends with MissJ!"

OR

"So MissZ and MissY are on bad terms? Since I'm friends with both, I'll stick to MissY because she's more popular!"
