Ryan scrambles to his feet and runs, attempting to escape that Words floating above him but despite his efforts, the Gamer tag would not leave. "Where am I?" He whispered to himself. But to make matters worse almost out of thin air came a loud booming voice, shouting the words, "Welcome To AD!" "No no no if this is some kind of trick or dream I want out now!." Ryan knew damn well this wasn't a trick or a dream. Thinking back to the game he remembered the bracelet and opened the menu. "Hmm let's see here. Let me open the spells list. Umm let's go with Sound Travel." He chose the spell and listened for a sound before hearing Yiu's voice. "Here goes nothing." He ran and began to move as fast as the speed of sound towards his target.
Aster slowed down when her legs were aching but she saw Lei stood there with her hand to her ear. She approached silently from behind and glanced at the girl's username. The girl was in the top 7, like Aster, this can't be a coincidence Aster thinks. She clears her throat, trying to get the girl's attention.
"Come on, come on!" Lei Sha Mei spoke into her handmade (punintended) phone. She heard someone clear her throat behind her and turned around. She immediately put down her hand and saw another player. She had a nickname too. Lei Sha Mei recognised her. A week ago, her and John's rank were lower than hers. "Oh hey! By any chance did you wake up here as well? It seems like I'm not the only one, my friend, Percyous seems to be online right now." She fiddled with her bracelet, avoiding touching any of the soft keys.
Aster smiles slightly "yeah I logged off AD about 12 last night, went to sleep and then bam! I'm woken by my hair whipping my face."
"We should group up, then we can introduce ourselves and tell each other what we know. I'm Arixeyenia, or Arix." Lei Sha Mei said. She wasn't sure what to trust anymore, after this encounter. She touched the soft key on her bracelet and opened her friends menu. Tapping the 'Add friend' button, she added Aster. "For now I'm trying to find Percyous. Knowing the guy he is, he's probably still thinking he's in the real world." Lei Sha Mei giggled.
Aster nods "how many of us do reckon there is? I'm number 5 in the leader board of AD, how far do you reckon they went down? I'm Star." I say smiling. I giggle and raise an eyebrow "the silent assassin eh? I won't get on the bad side of you."
Lei Sha Mei chuckled nervously. "It's nothing much, really. I think the other players in AD were overexaggerating, especially my fans. There was this once in an episode where I stealth killed someone, and muttered something like, 'You just died at the hands of the Silent Assassin!' in the spur of the moment and I guess the ADT thought they would satisfy the players. It's way less of an achievement because I know I didn't earn it. You're the Lucky Prophetess, I bet you got that from your own abilities." Lei Sha Mei was impressed. She pointed to a far away town, "I think we should head there. It's the only clue we have, this place is so empty. Like in the middle of no where. Maybe if there are others, they would head there too."
Aster chuckles slightly "mine started off that I could guess what could happen at the end of the mission I was in. I was always known as lucky as I always remained unscathed from missions. When I started guessing and got it right, they added prophetess to it. Now I get stuck in trances for ten seconds... Not as fun as it seems." She shrugs, then looks at the town. "If we were dumped in the field, logically so would they."
Dante: being attacked by players everyday is okay but sending that fish after me is no good-jumps up turning around snapping his finger sending wind cutting the fish in half before it disappears-dammit
Dante: -nods-theres a hidden mission where that type of fish exist and they are known to attack and consume it's prey I have been the only one to defeat it but I have no idea why it was on the lake it's usually located at caves or dark places
Lei Sha Mei stared around the field. "Seems like the grace period is over." Mobs started appearing everywhere. "And it seems like they're hostile." One by one, they started looking towards them and running towards them. "Cities are usually safe zones, run!" Arix took off towards the town, making sure that the other two could keep up with her agility. She flicked her wrists and two guns appeared. While running, she aimed at the mobs and shot, backing up the other two players in case some mob snuck up behind them. She hoped they would do the same with her. In the game, you couldn't feel the pain thaf was dealt to you character, and could just respawn, she had doubts about this world, though.
