Evolution Or Gods Creation

  1. I DONT KNOW WHAT OR WHO THAT IS

  2. God didn't say that people had to worship him for blessings. He helps us all, including the non believers. You may not notice it, but God helps us get through our daily lives.

If you pay close attention, the things written in the Bible are slowly happening in real life. There is a Church study about the future according to the Bible, I know these things because I am a knight of the altar. I attend weekly mass and seminars.

Worshipping God is a choice, not a requirement.

I do believe, and study the theories about how humanity existed, I enjoy learning stuff about science, but we should just respect each other's beliefs.

  3. Science and religion can rarely agree on anything. I say agree to disagree and don't dismiss other people's standpoints just because you were raised to believe in such a perspective. You're not God, so you can't argue for his actions and assume what His intent was (I'm not Christian/Catholic).

Don't forget that the church once said the earth was flat, and killed many great scientists because they said the earth was actually round. Science can substantiate claims and facts through evidence, but all you have, op, is faith and stories of miracles (which go against what science says is impossible). I'm religious, but I'm currently torn between science and religion.

  4. Oh, man. Religion does NOT belong here, not in any way shape or form. I am however up for a bit of science!

People clump together all forms of evolution as one, and that is simply wrong. It's like saying all cakes have the same ingredients!

For the sake of simplicity, there are two types of evolution. The first is called micro-evolution.

Micro-evolution is something nobody can deny. It is the constant change that exists within life, the ability to adapt. We see this every single day and to ignore it is disheartening. This is incredibly important to accept and learn, for many reasons. One perfect example would be viruses. Do you know why you need to get new influenza immunizations so often? Is it because it wore off, or just stopped working? Nope! :) It's because the virus has changed. The virus adapts to it's surroundings, including old immunizations. This is such a perfect example because it evolves so quickly, but we've even began to notice micro-evolution in humans, too! From height, internal structure, to even chemical changes in the brain so our personalities can adapt. This form of evolution is non-debatable, it is as proven as gravity.

The second form of evolution is called macro-evolution.

Macro-evolution would, in a way, fit the common definition of evolution. The "monkey" way. The over exaggerative, single detail in a highly disputed theory way. This form of evolution says that over time a species can go through so much micro-evolution that it actually becomes an entirely new species. This is simply a theory, because it cannot be proven. It makes sense to assume that if enough time passes for micro-evolution to take place... big things could take place! Now comes the question: If you replace every piece of wood and nail of a ship, is it still the same ship? Yes, no? Exactly! It is debatable. Another reason this form of evolution cannot be proven is because of time.
What happened long ago is something so unimaginably impossible to prove that it in itself becomes religion. The argument here is whether or not enough time has passed to allow micro-evolution to create an entirely new "strand" of a species.

So, remember to not confuse a question of time with a question of evolution! No matter what you believe, evolution exists. No matter what you believe, time is something to argue over.

I hope this help shed some light on the subject. If anybody has amy questions, feel free to pm! ;)

  8. I honestly don't know if I should believe in Science or Religion.

But Religion gave me hope that someone out there is actually watching out for me. I've always believed since I was young. It helped me create a fake illusion that everything is going to be alright in the end, even when I know that it's not.

You don't need proof if you really want to believe. You only need faith.

If it wasn't for the hope it gave me, I probably would've tried suicide trice.

  9. but we have discovered the bones of our early ancestors and uncovered aincent civilizations. I agree its much easier to prove micro evolution, sonce you just have to look at different races and cultures to see how each group has changed to adapt to its enviroment. But i think its easier to go on what proof we think we have on the 'monkey theory' of evulotion than to believe in a god :? Idk, religion has so many unanswered questions. Maybe one day we will know for sure

  11. Please do not confuse science with religion.  In this rare case you get to actually eat the cake, you get it both ways. Religion can exist along side science perfectly. Things such as evolution are NOT a religious topic, it sucks to see it made out to be one. It is not the topic to fight over, be it fighting with yourself or others.

There is nothing to be torn over.

  13. I agree with that Justin, Funny as this may sound. I believe in spirits. Only because of experiences. I don't know wither ghosts exsist or wither there was a reasonable explination for what occured. But its just nicer to believe there is something after death, than think we are here by complete chance and once we die, thats it. There was no real purpose to our exsistance :?

  14. If god is real:God is an ass
He takes all the good people and according to some sources makes them worship his son for eternity which is a pain

    The devil is a punisher
He takes all the evil people that god won't let in and punishes them forever but some good people get thrown in too

    In reality their both dicks

  15. what sources? Lol

  16. Read it in either a real autobiography of someone who died and came back to life or in one of Christian/Catholic(or other) bibles

  17. Nobody ever said God evolved from monkeys :p
And I'm evolution all the way :p
I can't see God but I can see monkeys :p

  18. In reality the theory of evolution is really the theory of favorable mutation
A mutation happens that makes a species more useful in a climate? That trait is passed down as its more likely to breed and then the race slowly turns into that type of evolved (aka mutated) form

  19. I'm actually agnostic because I don't believe in religion itself but I believe we're all connected. A quote by Neil deGrasse Tyson pretty much sums up how I feel.

"Recognize that the very molecules that make up your body, the atoms that construct the molecules, are traceable to the crucibles that were once the centers of high mass stars that exploded their chemically rich guts into the galaxy, enriching pristine gas clouds with the chemistry of life. So that we are all connected to each other biologically, to the earth chemically and to the rest of the universe atomically. That’s kinda cool! That makes me smile and I actually feel quite large at the end of that. It’s not that we are better than the universe, we are part of the universe. We are in the universe and the universe is in us."
