Evanesce Of Moonlight

A girl, couldn't have been a year older than us,, came running out of the cottage.
"Eric!" She screamed, "Eric Night! Where have you been?"
"Oh, you know me. I move around alot."
They embraced. So, his name was Eric. Huh.
"Ahh, and who is this?" She asked Eric.
"This is a new friend of mine she, is... Uh.. -"
"Scarlet Turner," I cut Eric off.
"Yes, Scarlet Turner she needs help finding- Ow!" I stepped on his toe. I pulled him over to the side.
"You can't tell her! I don't know her!" I exclaimed.
"She perfectly fine, you have my word," he walked back over to her, I followed.
"She needs help finding her family and he's saving herself. That's why I am with her," he finished.
"Oh, we'll hello! I'm Opal Fisher. It's a pleasure to meet you!"
"Hello," I answered.
I examined her closely, she had black hair with red streaks in it. She wore a black hoodie with a green tank top peeking under it on top of black jeans.
"Come inside, please!" She said.
The inside of Opal's house was puzzling. It was so simple. A couch, table, chairs, everything was there! Opal took us to the kitchen where she took out bottles and jugs of water and small -but many- food packages. She then ran down the hall and brought out two backpacks. She stuffed all the supplies she gathered into them. Lastly, she took out a map, compass, and a pen from a drawer. Opal circled a point on the map and stuffed it into the backpack along with everything else. She handed Eric the one with the map and have me the other one.
"Here, the point I circled on the map was my house, where you are now," she explained.
"Thank you," Eric told her. He huged her again. "I'm going to miss you,"
She wasn't half bad. I liked her. So I thanked her aswell.
"It's my pleasure, " she replied. I hued her too. She seemed startled, but then hugged me back. I stepped back nest to Eric.
"Now go!" Opal stated. "Go find your loved ones, Scarlet!" She joyfully said.
We walked out the door, started to run. We looked back and waved. She watched us run into the sunset.

ERICS POV

We ran towards and open field full of grass. Long grass. We sat for a minute. Once again, Scarlet was looking at the grass. She was so gorgeous. Her auburn hair flowed down to her mid-back and those deep green eyes. She was an angel. She looked up at me, and smiled. I smiled back at her. She put her head back down. Then, I got my backpack and opened it. I grasped the map, but then let it go.
"Scarlet?"
"Mmmhmm?" he replied gently, without lifting her head.
"whatever happened to your family?" I asked.
She looked up. "I," she studdered. "I don't know. One day, I came home from the best day at school. I opened the door, and heard that there was a message on my home phone. The massage started off with a woman. She said her name was Cecilia. It sounded like a sales call, until I hear a scream. It sounded like my little brother Ian. Then I herd the women spat to shut the little brat up. The she flat out told me, I have your family, and your friend Dakota." Scarlet started to cry.
"Oh my, Scarlet, I'm so sorry," I replied with great sorrow. I then walked over to her, and sat next to her. She continued to cry. I hugged her. She put her head against my shoulder, and cried. I held her tight.
"It's going to be okay, we will fine them, I promise."
We just sat there, in complete silence.
