Ebola

  1. So scary!!! We thought this guy brought it to Hawaii. I was like noooooo

  2. Like if you avoid direct contact with alot of people, then you are unlikely to catch it. Especially if you don't kiss others or use public toilets etc
But then again can it get in a water supply? If so then that'd be dangerous

  3. I don't know rune
Someone in the U.S. has Ebola. I just heard on the news.

  4. Remember, Ebola can only be caught if you've been in contact with any fluids from an infected person.

  5. Well I have no chance then since I don't get any ?

  6. Well he didn't get it in USA. He being monitored too

  7. He got it from Africa. He's in Texas quarantined. Also at what that SBO said. That's just a conspiracy theory thing. Even tho it could be true (I'd believe it Lol. Fuck the USA government).

  8. Call it a conspiracy but look it up. The USA has a patent for the Ebola virus. What they would use that patent for, the world might not ever know. But please put that into consideration that the us owns a strand of Ebola. @roaming

  9. It's scary to think if the USA would use Ebola as a weapon, what kind of war would break out. Nuclear? Biological? Some things that the human kind has yet to see? I believe it's more than just another virus we have to look out for. What you think is an opinion I'll understand, but mine is what I believe.

  10. This reminds me of that movie Outbreak. :(

  11. The only way they could weaponize it without major repercussions would be if they did it secretly

  12. If they were going to have a biological weapon wouldn't it be better to have an airborne one? Ebola isn't THAT easy to catch since you have to have direct contact with bodily fluids of an infected person. Not exactly the best biological weapon

  13. Diamond said strands I think. Can't they mutate the strands?

  14. Yes op. As you stated I believe in the 70's was the first outbreak. The patent wasn't established until 2012 off of a strand that was developed by a company called Bundibugyo. It's also to believe that that the mutated, lab-based strand travels through fine air droplets. Therefore making it more contagious. Honestly I can only state that the Ebola strand that U.S. patented is a mutated form since it was first discovered. It being able to travel trough air is an opinion I can't state is true. But I do believe it is possible that it could have been genetically mutated to have that attribute.

  15. Bundibugyo is a place

  16. The Bundibugyo strain of Ebola was named for the town where it was discovered

  17. Yes I'm sorry I misread. That strand of virus was then sent to the CDC in Atlanta, Georgia. Where it was than patented after 5 years of that strand being discovered.

  18. The United Nations announced today that Ebola is airborne.

  19. I read on the wiki that Ebola can't be airborne ebecause it becomes ineffective.

Russia tried to weaponize it lmao.
