. . Olivia's eyes remained closed as she tilted her head to face the grey ground. A salty track ran down her pale face, her blonde hair shielding her eyes. She felt lost, confused and slightly insane. . . Ember continued to walk, her eyes wandering the unfamiliar environment before returning to the 'pathway'. A slightly less muddy area. She frowned lightly, stopping in her tracks. Ahead of her looked dark. Sighing, she turned on her heel and started walking in the opposite direction. "Ugh," the girl grumbled, followed by a scowl.
"You know... I wonder..." A man in ravaged, filthy clothes emerged from the dark mumbling to himself, limping away very slowly. His eyes were like those of a dead fish, staring off into the distance. In between his thoughts, he would suddenly smile and laugh for what seems to be no reason. The man with the jet black hair which was covered in soot looked to be in his fourties or so, was probably exhausted and moving purely on instinct. The grief the man has been through was shown on his ash covered face despite his smile, it was almost too sad. "..Haahhhnn." It seemed like he had not have any form of nourishment whatsoever for quite some time, he made a barely audible sound as his eyes managed to lock on to the figure of a girl in the distance. "A... A-Aaa..!" The smile on his face disappeared instantaneously, as he waved frantically with his left arm what seemed to him to be a girl as she walked away. He couldn't speak, let alone yell. His hoarse throat only made a raspy wheeze as the man tried to force some kind of sound out his windpipe. The man was barely running on fumes, just as he finally found someone else, his body gave on him and he fell face first towards the ground. Two words managed to escape his chaffed lips, "...help..me."
. . Olivia looked up, her eyes opening; tinged red. Her mouth parted open slightly in an 'o' and she used her hands to pull her body backwards. She continued to back away, an unsure look upon her face. . . Ember reached the brick shell of a building. She headed over to it, ignoring the mud embracing her bare feet, and ducked under the 'door'. Once inside, the girl leant back against the brick wall, a shaky laugh escaping her lips. Hello again. (The stuff in red will always be the voice in her head. Check my profile if you're unsure what I'm on about~ )
. . Olivia took a deep breath before looking at him uncertainly. She pressed her knees to her chest, making herself smaller. "W-Where am I?" the young woman finally choked out. . . Ember ran a bruised hand through her hair, the familiar voice staining her mind. Aren't you happy to hear from me? Or did you think I was gone? Baha, nice one. . . Ember hit her head back against the wall. She ignored the dull throb of pain, once again performing the useless action. 'Go away," she exclaimed out loud, forgetting the voice was in her head only.
