At first, I didn't realize it, but he was gorgeous. His cheek bones were prominent and his nose strong and tall. His deep green-ish blue eyes entranced me. His face was completely symmetrical. I quickly looked away, blushing. I jumped off of Andy and the hospital bed and stared at the floor. "Who are you?" Andy inquired as he buttoned up his shirt. "James. No last name. I got rid of it after I died." "Well, James, why are you here and what do you want?" "I'm Tiana's guardian. And her Destined Mate." "Well, the 'Destined Mate' thing is optional so-" "Wait," I interrupted,"What's a destined mate?" "It's a person God pairs you up with when you die-or almost die. They are always the opposite sex of their pair. They're usually people who died-or almost died-at the same time. You can choose to be friends or a couple. It's usually their choice. If they were already married and one dies before the other, the dead one waits for their Destined Mate, unless they weren't destined to be together when they were alive. Anyways, if you don't meet your Destined Mate everyday, you will be punished." James explained. "What's the punishment?" I asked. "Beats me, but I'm not going to find out." He replied.
"So the Destined Mates aren't optional?" I inquired. "No. They're not. The only optional part is what you want them to be. For example: your friend, your girlfriend, your boyfriend, etc." He explained, putting an emphasis on the word "boyfriend". "Don't worry about that," Andy warned James,"Because there's no reason my babe would ever pick you." "Let's let HER decide, lover boy." James spit back. "James is right. It's my decision. And honestly, I don't know yet. Andy, I love you to death. I really do. But, it would be unfair for James if I didn't give him a chance!" "Babe, are you waiting to find a better guy than me? Or what? Why are you giving him a chance when you love me so much?" With that, he marched out the room. "Don't worry about that James, he's just... Actually, I don't know how to explain it. But he has all the rights to be mad." "No he doesn't," James comforted with his soft voice. He walked towards me and sat next to me on the bed. "If he loves you, he'll understand and he'll come back. If not, his loss." He put his muscular arm around me and rubbed my arm to comfort me. Simultaneously, we turned to look at each others faces-God, he was HOT- and before I knew it, we were making out. And that's when Andy came back in.... ----- I don't really feel like a lot of people are reading this or enjoying it... I don't know.... So, to make sure, post on this thread.
