Rick's point of view: "Hey Rick!" I smiled and nodded back. But little do people know that my heart was crushed in a thousand pieces. So, this is what they call heartbreak, huh? It's my first time experiencing it. Sigh. Although it's impossible, I have to FORGET her. "Do you know Chelsea Homers?" one girl whispered at the end of the lunch table. What's with this topic?! Aargh. "The one dating Ken?" another girl answered back. What?! That news spread that FAST???!!! Annoyed with topic, I got up from my seat. "She was brought to the secret rooms by the seniors." "The SENIORS? They must be bullying her right now. Poor her." I froze. "WHERE is that?!" I loudly demanded, startling the two girls. "A-at the b-back of the s-school." I ran quickly as I could. I care less of how she broke my heart. I LOVE her, and that fact won't change. I opened the rusty door and saw groups of girls surrounding a lifeless body. "STOP!!!" I shouted. The girl dropped the lighter in surprise. "Shocks. It's the student body president." "We're DOOMED." They backed away as I approached the frail, bleeding body. "Rick?" she whispered weakly. Tears welled up my eyes. She's too pitiful. She smiled. "You saved me." she gasped and then fainted. I checked her pulse. It is WEAKENING. Her face is losing color. Her whole body was losing its normal heat. OH NO. This is BAD. BEYOND BAD. Absolutely alarmed, I used up all my strength to shout. "QUICK! CALL AN AMBULANCE! SHE'S DYING!!!"
Rick's point of view: "Doc, you have to do something." I desperately said. "Mr. Anderson..." "Please, doc. She's dying." "Mr. Anderson..." "Doc, save her. I'm willing to pay twice the hospital bill!" "Mr. Anderson! CALM DOWN!" the doctor cried out, startling me. "She is already in a stable condition, okay? We've got her under control." "May I go see her?" I asked while biting my lip. The doctor nodded and walked away. I opened the door gently and numerous tubes greeted me. They were all connected to Chelsea. I sat down beside her bed and stared at her beautiful yet bruised face. I gently stroke her shiny hair. "I'm sorry I was not able to protect you." I apologized while burying my head on my hands. I felt a gentle pat on my head. I looked up and saw Chelsea with her green eyes staring sadly at my face. "I-i-it wasn't your fault. You saved me." she said weakly. "No. I was too late." I said, looking away. It was too unbearable to see her poor condition. "You're too kind." she smiled and held my hand. "Please. Stay by my side." she requested and drifted to sleep while clutching my hand. The last words warmed my heart. I completely forgot that she misunderstood and rejected me. I made up my mind. I'm not going to give up. I'll make her love me even if it takes a long time. I'm willing to wait for... 5 years? 10 years? 20 years??? Nope. Not at all. That's to short. I'm willing to wait FOREVER. <3
