  11. Rick's point of view:

    Over.
    We are over.

"Rick," Jake huffed, "I don't know what got into you. Why go out with a girl like that?"

    Over.
    Chelsea and I are over.

"And what got me more confused is that," Jake sighed, "You dumped Nash for an unworthy woman like her?"

    My Chelsea.
    My beloved Chelsea.
    Over.
    We are over.

"Are you even listening?" Jake complained.

    "Chelsea..." I mumbled.

    I can't take this.
The pain in my heart... it's unbearable.

The thought of not having Chelsea in my arms anymore... it HURTS like HELL.

    Jake glared at me.
"You're still mumbling that girl's name?! C'mon, Rick. Wake up! Look for much better girls. If you want, I'll introduce you to some."

I shot Jake an icy glare which made him shiver. I forcefully grabbed his collar.
"Do you know what you just did?!"

"YES!" Jake exclaimed bravely, "I saved you from the worse relationship ever in the Anderson's history!"

Out of intense ANGER, I threw him a painful PUNCH on the face.
    "You don't even know HER!"

    Jake spat out some blood.
"I don't need to know her. She ain't worthy of being part of the Anderson's family."

I quickly gave him another PUNCH.
    Suddenly, Jake started coughing blood.
"She was PRECIOUS to me! I LOVE her so much! I LOVE her to the point that I can't even imagine loving other women other than HER!"

    Jake stared at my eyes.
"If she's so precious, why did you lie to her about Adam?"

    I froze.
May grasp on his collar got weaker.

Jake slapped my hands and glared at me.
"I know I'm stupid. I didn't realize that Chelsea was the girl were going to fool. Sorry 'bout that."

    I still remained unmoved.

"But you know what?" Jake added, "If you look at it more closely, you are the one wrong here all along."

I looked up and met Jake's gaze.
"I have to chase after her." I whispered.

I grabbed my jacket when Jake stopped me.
"Don't. You'll just get hurt. She won't be coming back."

"Leave me alone." I spat out, but Jake's grasp on my arm tightened.

"Didn't you hear what Chelsea just said?" Jake reminded me, "It's hard to get her back now."

Silence filled the room for a minute. Jake slowly released his grasp on my arm.

"R-Rick, are you crying?" Jake asked, completely astonished.

    I looked away.

"You didn't even cry when Nash left you." Jake said.

"Because Chelsea is different. I love her. I love everything about her. Her strengths, her imperfections, I love them all." I said, fighting back tears.

    I looked at Jake.
"I know it's kinda unmanly to cry, but, the pain of losing Chelsea is just too much."

    Jake patted my back.
"I have a solution for your sadness. Come with me. I'll drive."

I just reluctantly joined him as he drove me to his planned "solution".

    "We're here." Jake announced gleefully.

"A bar?" I should have known.

"C'mon. Drink away all your sorrows!" Jake excitedly said.

"Jake, I don't drink. This is not the solution for me." I said firmly.

"Don't be a coward. Come on!" Jake said as he forcefully dragged me inside.

"What are your orders?" the bartender asked as he approached us.

    "Two sakes." Jake said.

"Make that one," I interrupted, "Water for me."

The bartender looked at me weirdly and hurried away.

    "Seriously? Water?" Jake mocked.
    I ignored him.

As our drinks arrived, Jake gave me the glass of water. I gulped it all down to quench my thirst.

"The water tastes weird." I commented, feeling dizzy.

"How was the taste of my sake?" Jake smiled.

    "Whaaa-" I exclaimed.

"Come on, Rick. Want another one?" Jake offered as he brought a cup closer to me.

I really don't know what's happening to me. I was not myself. I just kept drinking and drinking.

I was going to the comfort room when I suddenly BUMPED against a woman.

    "S-sorry." I hiccuped.

"Agh! My dress!" the woman screamed. The voice seemed familiar.

The woman looked up and stared at my face.

    The woman suddenly gasped.

"RICK! What are you doing here?!"

  12. Nash's point of view:

    Meow. Meow.

"Get off me!" I screamed at my pet cat.

But the cat didn't listen. He just curled himself on my lap.

I stared at the cat and sighed.
    "We're quite similar, you know?"

    "Meow?" the cat purred.

"We persistently keep holding on to the one we love even if we are clearly unwanted." I sighed.

The cat didn't respond and just rested his head on my left thigh.

"You know what?" I added, fighting back tears, "They might be having an enjoyable date right now."

The cat lifted its head and stared at my watery eyes.

"Should I give him up?" I asked as tears dropped from my eyes.

Then I suddenly stood up, making the cat fall from my lap.
"I should not be like this. I am the amazing Nash. I should look for a man that could please me."

I marched towards my over-flowing closet.
"I'll make all the boys kneel down and beg for me."

After hours of rummaging in my closet, I settled for a short tight dress with a plunging neckline. I applied thicker make-up than before.

I drove my convertible to my all-time favorite bar. The moment I entered, all eyes were on me. I walked confidently to my usual spot when an arm rested on my shoulder.

    "How's my babe?"

"Get off me, Josh." I hissed.

"Oh come on, babe. I missed you." Josh purred as he tried to steal a kiss.

I slapped his face in the midst of all the attention.
"Take a bath first before making a move on me." I snapped, leaving Josh frozen.

    "Hi Nash!"
    "Lookin' good."
    "Babe, how ya doin'?"

I tried to smile to be polite. But honestly, I can't find any decent man in the bar, well, in other words, a man better than "HIM".

Completely annoyed, I grabbed my bag and decided to leave the place.

When suddenly, a man BUMPED against me.

    "S-Sorry." the man hiccuped.

    "Agh! My dress!" I exclaimed.

I quickly looked up to sue the man behind all this mess, but as soon as I recognized his face, my heart melted.

"RICK?! What are you doing here?"

    Rick stared at me.
    "Who are you?"

Suddenly, a man grabbed him from behind and looked at me.
"I'm so sor- WAIT! Aren't you Nash?!"

    "Jake!" I exclaimed, "It's you."

    Jake smiled.
"Yeah. I'm so sorry for this. He's just, you know, wasted."

    "Why?" I asked, totally concerned.

"My sweetheart left me!" Rick cried.

"Just like he said." Jake sighed.

"Wait. You mean, Chelsea and Rick are over?" I asked.

"Shut up!" Rick cried out as he stumbled.

I felt my heart leap for joy.
Isn't this a chance for me.

"Jake, may you please help me settle Rick down? I want to talk to him." I asked.

"Sure." Jake smiled, winking at me.

Rick settled down and grabbed his glass of alcohol.

"No." I said firmly, "You know that this is not the solution. And besides, we have a test tomorrow. You'll surely fail with this kind of disposition."

    Rick smiled at me.
"I'm going to fail the test tomorrow."

"Don't joke around, Rick. Bad grades can't help you in the student council elections." I ordered.

    Rick stared at me.
"I'm going to back-out from that student elections."

"Don't joke around, Rick!" I exclaimed.

    Rick looked away.
"I'm not joking. Without her, I can't do anything."

    I felt my veins burst.
"What is so good about her anyway?! She's nothing!"

Rick glared at me and suddenly smiled.
"Don't you know? She was the best thing that I ever had."

    My heart dropped.
"How 'bout me? I was your fiancée. Didn't you also feel magic?!"

    Rick shrugged.
"If you were Chelsea, I'll surely feel the magic."

    Completely angry, I stood up.
"WHY?! What's with her?! I'm HERE! Am I not ENOUGH?"

    Rick looked at me.
    "Don't belittle Chelsea like that."

Suddenly, I gasped. Tears were forming in Rick's eyes. Seeing him cry, made my heart feel hurt.

"I love her so much." Rick whispered and then suddenly blacked out.

    I looked at him.
    He felt extremely pained.
And seeing him like this, it's just too unbearable.

    I have to do something.
I can't just let this one go.

I dialed a number on my phone.

    "Hello?"

    I inhaled.
    "Is this...

    "... Adam Anderson?"
