Cologne (and perfume) only works for a short amount of time... and I’m somewhat biased because strong smelling cologne/perfume hurts my nose 

I mean. I use both? I put deodorant on so my pits stay nice and clean smelling because lavender is that a1 smell, but then I have nice cologne? They aren't interchangeable they're for different things?

Deodorant for a normal day at work but cologne for when I’m going places with my lady friend  but she also helps me pick mine out so she likes the smell
