The week at my grandparents house was dull. The only thing entertaining about it was that ryuk was there. At times I couldn't resist laughing when ryuk "punched" my cousins. The fist passed through them. That week I found out how much my American step-family hates. My grandma constantly criticizing, my cousins constantly insulting Russia right in front of me. I almost punched them all in the face. The only good thing was that my grandpa was deaf, and hasn't talked to me much. When we finally came back, I met the only cousins I liked. They were a little annoying, but better than the others. I seriously debated whether or not I should use the death note on the Pennsylvanian side.
I was back at school. I befriended a kid named Aaron recently. He wasn't my best friend, but a good friend nevertheless. He was a genius like me. 'so D'you hear about the random heart attack on some guy in Virginia. He was in his mid-30's and just suddenly died. Its been all over the news lately.' said Aaron on my next day back from vacation. 'it was? My grandma doesn't have a tv, so I don't know. But that is creepy though. I wonder why?' I said, lying. My grandma had a tv, and I followed everything on this report. 'hehehe.' laughed ryuk from behind me 'interesting. I wonder who killed that poor innocent man.' he sniggered. 'well anyway, I suspect it's some kind of murder plot. I've read death note, and this looks similar.' 'you've been reading too much manga, Aaron. That can't happen.' I said, hiding my panic. I knew that a hardcore death note fan would notice..... But i made the impression at school that I hated anime, But knew the general idea, while, in reality, I was a hardcore fan. 'I wouldn't be so sure. I've done some research, and found out that a while back there was a sudden drop in criminal rate. Heart attacks all over the place. Kira is real, and he's back to do it again, trust me.' 'why are you always so stubborn? And why are you panicking? Its not like kira's in our school or something.' ryuk laughed even louder. I was starting to stress out. Aaron got serious about the investigation. He announced it on tv. It went global. The city of Durham was suddenly more popular then ever. And not because of something going on at duke. Because I did kill someone while I was waiting for Aaron to make his move. A purse snatcher. Just A's another test to make sure that the notebook was the real death note. But Aaron took it too far. I wrote his name in the notebook that evening and smirked. Now nobody will question it.
