Went to the movie last night, 8:30 Imax, survived... Being scared to do something because of what happened on the other side of the country is dumb. Sucks it happened :/ God Bless those families... This thread is stupid.
@whoever said he was in the military: he wasn't. The authorities were trying to figure out if he had been in the military, because of how he had made those bombs and boobie trapped his house. They called him bombs "sophisticated". Which is pretty weird to me. I mean a guy who doesn't have any military history would make such dangerous explosives. He was going for a phD in neuroscience, the study of the brain. In my opinion, when let loose the irritant gas in the theater, before he shot at the crowd, was pretty risky. I mean, why didn't anyone scream or run? They would've probably thought it was part of the movies. I mean, it WAS the midnight showing. He was all dressed up too, so it was easy for him to hide those guns. He knew how people would react to the gas. And the shooting noise probably blended in with the sound effects of the movie. If people knew that it wasn't the movie, but a real live gunman, maybe many would've made it out uninjured. Thoughts and prayers go out to the victim's families, and RIP to the deceased.
People thought it was all part of the act. Maybe it was a special treat because it was the midnight premiere. He was very prepared, too. Is there anything we could have done? I wish there was.
I'm from Aurora Colorado and live 10 mins away from where the shooting took place, we went to that theatre all the time and we could have easily been there that night, don't sit and judge why someone was there with babies or kids, fact of the matter is this crazy man walked in and opened fire on everybody there! wounded 71 and killed 12! Regardless he had no right to take anybody's life! Just pray for the victims and families who have been affected by this tragedy and those still waiting to know if their loved ones were among the 12....
I heard that he was trying to be like the joker because The joker would easily do those booby traps .
That baby is still alive. It's being treated for chemical burns and the guy is locked up in solitary confinement and they found a whole bunch of gun shells in his house and he only shot the people that were running away.... One of my friends was there,she's alright though.
