Currency Exchange

  1. I suppose logistically those extra fees tacked onto non-U.S. purchases are to pay for exchanging the currency?

    It sucks as a consumer but I don't think necessarily it's just like, "Fùck you for not living in America!" Unfortunately on the other hand, I suppose that also means there's no way to petition an end to the extra fees.
     
  2. This is one major problem with having multiple currencies throughout the globe, among others. The currency exchange rates are a wrong way to price your items/commodities on a platform that caters to the globe. Going by purchasing power parity to price items in different currencies would be the much fairer.
     
  3. I absolutely agree with this, But I doubt they'll ever do something like this, it's not as profitable and We all know what Capitalism strives for especially the good ole U.S. of A.
     
  4. You're right. It's about time we had one global currency. Something like bitcoin.
