Chapter 14 It was already June and the day of my final exam. I was happy, but scared out of my mind. You have no idea how hard it was to keep up with sixteen different exams for eight subjects. Three of them being sciences. I sighed inwardly. I better get this done and over with. I walked to the exam room after the assembly was over. The good thing about having final exams is that you are excused from the assembly to study. I was glad for it. I got to the exam room and located my table. The tables were longer, so it sat two students instead of one. I got my things out and took my bag to the back of the room. I sat down and waited. Little by little, everyone walked in and found their seat. Before I knew it, Rya sat at my table. Rya is sitting with me?! She looked over at me and arched a brow. "What?" she asked with her harsh tone. "Nothing, " I grinned. She rolled her eyes and looked forward. she closed them and took a deep breath. She never opened them until the supervisor passed around handing us our multiple choice sheets with our name and candidate number on it. As we, got them we signed it. We waited again. She passed around the exam paper and as usual, we filled out the back of it. "The time is 8:30 am. You may begin, " she said before sitting. I got started and smiled a little. I knew the work. I started and shaded each letter. By the time I was finished, Rya had finished as well. We both stood up at the same time causing everyone to stare at us. I blushed. Rya didn't care. She walked up to the woman and I followed her. She signed our exam paper and ripped the back off, before giving it to us. Rya had already packed up and was leaving. I packed up quickly and went after her. I found her in the cafeteria, buying a snack when I tackle hugged her. "What the fu...!" she bit her tongue to stop the curse from flying out her mouth. The cafeteria lady gave her a weird look. Rya just gave an awkward smile, before growling at me. "Get off," she snarled. "No," I said, tightening my hug. "I'm serious, " she growled. "So am I," I said hugging tighter. She grabbed my arms trying to pry them off, but I wouldn't let her. I just tightened them a little more. "For the Love of Slender Man, Melody! You are cutting my circulation off!" she yelled. I gasp and released her, watching her double over in pain. "I'm sorry!" I started apologizing. Before I knew it I was in tears. She looked at me to yell again, but didn't when she saw me crying. She sighed and asked the cafeteria lady for a few napkins. She pulled me to sit at a table and faced me. She gently wiped my eyes. "You really need to stop doing that," she said softly. " I'm sorry," I said, lowering my head. "You need to stop saying sorry," she said crumpling a wet napkin. "I'm...." I started to say sorry, when she glared at me. I stopped immediately. She sighed and leaned back. "Why did you do that?" she asked crossing her arms. "I wanted to," I said quietly, looking down at my fingers. She passed her hand on her face. I spoke quickly. "I want my friend back," I said. "What?" she asked looking at me. "I want my friend back." "Melody..." "Please Rya! I want my best friend back. I'll even leave Lance just to get you back." "You would do that for me?" "Yes... Say the word and... I'll do it." She didn't speak after that. She just stared at me. Her expression was so blank, I couldn't tell what she was thinking. Oh God! I love Lance and I love my best friend. What am I going to do if she tells me to leave him? Oh God... "Melody..." Oh God! She is going to say it! No.... No!
No no no! I think Rya shouldn't be one of those friends who makes you choose between the guy you really like and them. ^-^
