One peek beyond the velvet curtain was all the proof I needed that I had made the right choice. The glistening eyes eagerly watching the stage, waiting for me to dazzle them was surely worth the risk- after all, what good is my life if I am not entertaining? “We’ve got the men at every exit, and up above, too.” Johhny said, gesturing to the high balcony from which the bullet that ended Lady Red’s Friday night show with a bang came. “No one should be able to get to ya’ but it isn't too late to call it off, Violet.” I shook my head, my jeweled headdress twinkling in tune. “The show must go on.” I mused, gracefully pointing my bare leg behind the curtain. The crowd roared and the music began. The moment the saxophone sounded, my body became it’s slave. Time became nothing more than a musical scale as I danced, blissfully unaware of the shadow of death that had just entered the room. Death did not draw her weapon, though, for she had only come to examine her handiwork. The more I moved, the more I sweat, the more my jewels felt… strange? “She is bleeding!” Who? I stopped and scanned the audience, following their fingers to me. Suddenly dizzy, I fell to my knees. Peering down at my body with the last bit of strength I had left, I discovered a bloody rash devouring my skin. The curtains closed. The Flapper Girl grinned.
So there I was working my shift like any other day the lights gleaming down on me reflecting off my costume and all the sequins dancing in the light. I stared out that’s when I saw him oh that smile I put on a show he will never forget i stretched my arms wide before my bow “I am shimmering showgirl goodnight” as I left the stage I felt his piercings eyes on me I walked to my dressing room and there he was standing all smug who is he you may ask? No one really knows he wonders like a ghost untraceable he never leaves clues he just there when you least expect it he never talks only listens but his smile lights up the room like a beacon I felt his breathe on my neck the hairs on my neck lift when he says “I am your good luck charm I am the reason you are who you are today” as I turn around quickly there’s no one there only a cold draft. Was this him all along did he give me this life?
The sounds of jazz filled the air as the Amiable Mobster walked inside The Violet, a speakeasy in Chicago. He casually glanced around, taking in the atmosphere, until his eyes rested upon a woman at the bar, twirling her pearl necklace around her finger. He gave a devious grin before approaching her from behind, sliding one hand around her waist and leaning gently into her neck, softly whispering, “Can I buy you a drink, gorgeous?” It took only a few cocktails and compliments to take her to the nearest hotel. They rapidly undressed each other in the darkness as the Mobster pushed her against the door as he closed it. He was quick to take off his gloves and hide his wedding ring inside them before she had a chance to see. The Flirtatious Flapper wrapped her legs around his waist as she pressed her lips against his, pretending she didn’t notice the glint of gold come off his finger. The Mobster tightened his grip around her and took her towards the bed. The Flirtatious Flapper smiled as she rested her head against his bare chest, hearing his gentle heartbeat. He was asleep. She quietly got up and started to get dressed, noticing yesterday’s newspaper on the coffee table as she rolled up her tights. ‘Serial Strangler Strikes Again’ were written in big bold letters. She smirked and let out a satisfied sigh, before grabbing her pearl necklace, wrapping it around the Mobsters neck and strangling him to death.
Her eyes sparkled as the band played, never once did her eyes glance away from the stage. She listened intently to each note that was brilliantly crafted and was ever so delighted by the smooth harmony. The bartender, a young lad starting fresh, looked up at the Flapper as he handed her her Old Fashioned. She shifted in her seat, crossing her legs as she took her drink. The necklace she adorned shined beautifully in the dim lights. "Never served a woman like you before." The bartender admired. She smirked at the man and responded: "Never saw a woman like me either." She gave him a wink as she lifted her glass, focusing on the jazz players once more. The bartender chuckles, "that you're right about. I moved here not too long ago wantin' a change of scenery." The flapper mused and took a sip from her glass. "These are new times we're in, sir. I could dance my ass off and huff a smoke right here right now if I wanted to." A look of shock overcame the man no matter how hard he tried to stifle it. The flirtatious flapper knew, keeping her eyes towards the band. She downed her drink and placed the glass upon the bartop. "Times are changing," she spoke to no one in particular as she rose from her seat, making her way towards the stage. "Your name...?" The bartender trailed off as he watched the enchantress disappear from his sight.
ONE LAST TIME Zoe relished the sound of his heartbeat, the steady rise & fall of his chest where her head lay. The cool morning breeze played across her bare back. New York, the city of Dreams... how ironic that this was where all her dreams died. "We came here together you know... Lois & I" Zoe whispered. "Lois.... the Flapper girl over at Cotton Club" she chuckled humorlessly. Jake cleared his throat, "Lil fiesty aint she!" "She's like a sister to me. We left chicago to start a new life. Now look at us, the flapper and the showgirl." "She tries to steal your shine doll. People change you know." "Is that what you were whispering in her ear before you two disappeared upstairs?" His body tensed but it passed so quickly maybe she imagined it. Zoe closed eyes but the images remained. Lois & Jake, her fingers wrapped in his dark hair as he playfully kissed her neck. "Actually i was asking for you. I went upstairs to look.... I saw you talking to Renzo . You know he's bad news. He's in the mob for pete's sake!" After Jake had left, Zoe cried as she savored his scent on her sheets. She loved them but their betrayal was unforgiveable. By now Renzo had already disposed of Lois' body and that ghastly fringed dress . He'd find Jake and ensure he knew that he alone was the cause of his untimely demise. For the first time in her life, Zoe felt truly alone.
My name is Donnie Santelli. But the people here know me as Lucky Santelli. Why they call me Lucky? Because I get away with everything. I've never stepped into the big house. You name it, I've probably done it. My soldiers listen to me and that's how I like it. I don't want any coppers or gum-shoes tailing me or snoopin' around because of some goon thinkin' he's gonna do whatever he wants. It don't work like that. He'll be in a Chicago overcoat before he blinks. Now, I do pack heat, I mean, we all do, but I ain't wanna use it until it's completely necessary, you know what I mean? I have a goal here, and it's gonna be my goal until my big sleep. Vegas is where it's at. It's the second most booming place after New York City, but don't worry, I got my men already taking care of it. But Vegas has the cash, dolls, and the casinos. But did I mention my men deal the cards? I light a cigarette as I enter Golden Gate Casino. "Watch the doors…" I muttered. "Yes, boss."
Aleyna was standing on her stage. This is my spot , this I where I became the shimmering showgirl. She looked up at the spotlights, the so called “ghostlights”. The dust flying around and she shivered. In her mind the music was playing and she started her show, twirling and swaying her arms. Suddenly the big lights went , two stageboys came in. “Hey the lights are still on.” One of them said and wanted to turn them off. “No! You can’t! He Will be mad!” The other one said. The first one laughs “ he really does believe she keeps comming to her lights?” “Yeah , he does, he wants to see her one more time you know, Thats what he said” the other replied. They left, big lights out, darkness accept here lights. She sat down and started crying. Suddenly soft footsteps, footsteps she knows... She lifts up her head and there he is, with his blue eyes... Looking straight at her since long. His eyes widen “aleyna my love, iT really is you!” And he sticks out his hand to take hers but he graps air.. He sighs and then a tear fell from his eye. “ I miss you darling, but you can’t keep waithing for me here, when its my time I Will be yours forever but let your soul rest” She sticks out her hand to catch his tear, looks him in the eyes and says “ i’ll be yours forever” The tear Burns into her hand and Just before she becomes a shimmery cloud she kisses his lips. He looks at the shimmer and sighs “ and I ‘ll be forever youre my love, Aleyna”
Standing in front of the Palace’s fountain, the Flapper takes out a cigarette from her pack and lights it up. It was the end of one of her many shows and routinely, she was smoking to distressing after a long night. As the Flapper blows smoke in the air, she notices someone in a pink puffy dress approaching. The smoker instantly moves away out of habit to prevent any secondhand smoke from blowing in anyone's face. But her new companion doesn't seem bothered. "The senator's married son? Classic." The Showgirl mumbles out after a long silence. "Excuse me?" The Flapper asks, facing the Showgirl. The Showgirl hands her a yellow envelope to which the Flapper opens right away, exposing the explicit pictures of the two fondling around in a hotel room. Silence creeps in. An apparent sight of panic is visible on the Flapper's pale face. "Drop out of Mogul." The Showgirl shrugs with a mischevious smile on her face as she refers to the biggest annual show hosted in Las Vegas. To this, the girl before her looks up in disbelief. How could she give up Mogul? It was her first big break since working there. "Mogul is my first break. I'm not-" "You'll get plenty more. But Mogul is mine and you won't f*ck your way into my show." The showgirl snaps. "I hope we have an agreement. Would be a shame if something happened to you." She adds before walking the scene and into a black car.
It was the night of the big show. Everyone had crowded Caesar Palace awaiting the beloved Flirtatious Flapper and Shimmering Showgirl. The lights of the stage twinkled in anticipation. The crowd was ready to see which gal shown brightest tonight. Their rivalry, well known and one of the reasons the show was so captivating. Each night, the women became more spiteful, their menacing arguments heard throughout. Whether it was whose outfit that truly sparkled best or who really owned the heart of the Stunning Showman, their quarrels were never-ending. The curtains began to open; an audible gasp was heard from the thrilled audience. Music began playing as the Flirtatious Flapper and the Shimmering Showgirl began their riveting routine. Tonight it seemed the Shimmering Showgirl was more mesmerizing than ever before. Her body graceful, her eyes bright; she was breathtaking. Without warning, the lights went out. The room became pitch black. Suddenly, screams rippled the air, and a struggle was audible. The men in the crowd jumped to their feet to aid whichever mistress needed help, but when the lights came on, they knew it was too late. Sparkles, feathers, and a headdress littered the stage. The Shimmering Showgirl was gone. Everyone was in a panic. But the Flirtatious Flapper stood gazing intently at the scene, a hint of a mischievous grin on her red lips.
Okay so please don’t delete my entry. I tried to edit it, but I’ve never posted on the forums and apparently you can’t edit or delete.
The Irish Pub was filled with mingling patrons as the night was still young. The Flapper smiled at the Mobster, "You must be a very important man.." She eyed his attire. He chuckled and took a sip of his whiskey. "I do what I can to get by.” "And what might that be?" The Mobster raised his glass, as if to say ‘cheers’ and took a sip of his whiskey. She smirked and went to sing onstage. “Amazing grace, how sweet the sound….” Her eyes never left his as she sang the last tune and saunted her way offstage. The Mobster felt a magnetic pull and walked out the backdoor, then he heard a sweet voice. “Fancy seeing you here." He turned around the find the Flapper. “That was an amazing performance.” He complimented. She smirked. “I feel quite parched after that number,” her eyes started to turn obsidian and blood red, purple veins started to become visible below her eyes, “and I don’t think a tiny glass of whiskey is gonna sate it. I need something more… Fresh.” The Mobster screamed in agony as she sank her fangs into his neck. After a full minute, the Flapper ripped her fangs from his throat with a satisfying sigh and dropped his limp body on the floor. “The blood of a killer is always the best cocktail, thanks for the drink, love.” She wipes her blood stained mouth with his jacket and went back inside.
"WHAT A TRAGEDY" It's this time of the year where the "Stunning Showman" will show his great talent again. People where excited, especially the "Shimmering Showgirl". The Showman's lover and wife. But in the dark you can see and feel the madness of the "Flirtatious Flapper". "I thought it was love for the both of us, Showman, but I guess I was wrong. You make me fall for you." She said while watching the Showgirl, admire her man. The Flapper was ready to leave but she was stopped by the one and only the "Amiable Mobster". "The Flirtatious Flapper inlove? WOW! I could never imagine. Such a night!" The mobster said as he was enjoying what he just found out. "What do you WANT?!" The Flapper was simply not pleased on the way he acts. "C'mon, let's have a talk."They started leaving the place. "You know we've all been inlove once, I did too. But, she chose someone who lives in the dirt. A showman to a mobster. Who would you choose?" "You're inlove with the Showgirl?" The Flapper was simply astonished on what she just found out. "Hmm, Maybe. Let's go, I think the show is almost over. You need to see something." "What?" The Flapper was curious "Let's just say, If we can't have them. Just let them be happy.........In heaven" The Mobster smirked, the Flapper's mouth made an "O", but later on turn into smile. "Lead the way." The next day. A news was spread all over the place. "My, my. What a tragedy."An old man said as he read the newspaper saying "THE STUNNING SHOWMAN AND SHIMMERING SHOWGIRL WAS FOUND DEAD IN AN ABANDONED BUILDING!!" "Yep! A tragedy it is" As the Mobster and the Flapper hid a smile.
A Night in Sin City On a night in the famous town of Las Vegas also known as “Sin City”, a well-groomed man, entered the Caesars Palace. He walked through the enormous casino and checked out all the slot machines and gambling tables. He entered his hotel room and was amazed by the sight. He unpacked his bags and started getting ready for a night of partying and fun. Later that night, He went downstairs to get a drink until he met a charming young lady, who wore short skirts and listened to jazz music, in which he defined to as a flirtatious flapper. He offered the lady a drink, the lady accepted the offer. “What are you doing here?” the lady asked. “Me? I’m just here for a night of fun.” the man replied. “Fun you say?” then the lady took the man to a club. The man was overwhelmed by the lights and noise of the club. They met a shimmering showgirl and a stunning showman. The four chatted, drunk, and later then danced the night away. It was the next day. The man woke up in his hotel room, trying to remember what had happened last night. He went downstairs and looked for the lady. He saw the news on TV, two people have been killed in the club he was in last night. The two victims appeared to be a showgirl and a showman. The suspect was missing, and was later found out to be the young lady from last night.
Shimmering Showgirl, the most beautiful woman in the small town. The town didn't have much going on so they decided to have a Masquerade Party. Of course Shimmering Showgirl wanted to attend but her life was already dedicated to the circus. She decided to be rebellious anyway. She didn't have no Fairy god mother yet she was able to change quickly and since she was at work when she decided to go to the Masquerade Party, she did a flip down to the ground. Bowed to everyone then left towards the exit. She didn't have a mask so she cut a piece of her clothing and made a DIY Mask. When she walked into the party something caught her attention. It was a diamond. She knew she came to party but she didn't know such a vauble object would be at the party. She walked towards it then a Amiable Mobster appeared. He seemed a little tipsy so the Stunning Showgirl walked around him. She looked back for a sec to see was he ok but when she turned back around to look toward the diamond, IT WAS GONE. A Stunning Showman had appeared and said looking for this? He then ran out the party, he started flipping on cars and jumping on cars during traffic, The stunning showgirl was also chasing him but she felled for the trick. The Stunning Showman was secretly the one in charge of the circus. So he did flips and jumps to the police station. Where the Stunning Showgirl went.
DARK CRIME AMIABLE MOBSTER was a good-looking man. Well-mannered, soft-spoken, just an overall good man. Only twenty seven years old. Six months ago he hired me to find his birth parents. Even he was adopted, and had great parents, he wanted to know his roots. There was something familiar looking about him, made me think I had seen him before. The reason for that was his birth dad STUNNING SHOWMAN, the mastermind in gambling in Vegas. It didn’t take me too long to find that out. It turns out Showman had a one-night fling with a dancer named FLIRTATIONS FLAPPER, never knew he had this other son. His ex wife SHIMMERING SHOWGIRL was died in accident a year ago. When I told him about Amiable, he told me what he would do to me if this man ever bothered him. Two weeks ago I heard Stunning Showman was on his death bed, dying of kidney failure, and word was he was going down fast. His goons brought me to see him. He wanted to know about Amiable. I thought he just wanted to make peace with his son before he died. A week ago Amiable's parents called me. They were frantic. Amiable had disappeared. They had no idea where he was. The day passed, I heard through the old man that Stunning Showman had found a kidney donor. A good match, too. Transplant looks like its going to be a success.
Here she is again up on the Vegas stage that seems built for her with the secretive smile like she’s hiding a joke only she knows. The Shimmering Showgirl she’s called. She performed luring all on her web of deception. As I stood up walking towards the backstage where my beau is waiting for me, someone blocked my way. I look annoyingly at this vixen in front of me. The Flirtatious Flapper who was once I shared my bed with. She bats her eyes at me trying to lure me like the men she lured before. I just heaved out a sigh and pushed her away feigning deaf at her curses and shouts. As I round the corner, I saw my beau laughing with someone, the Stunning Showman. Her co-worker and someone who should never be near my sweet, innocent beau. He is a nuisance that should never exist in the first place. I walked towards them seizing my beau by her hips and smothering her with a kiss in the lips while never taking off my eyes to the fuming guy. I whispered flirtatiously on my blushing beau and took her away shielding her of the view as my men took away the nuisance. Never be seen again. I look at my innocent little Showgirl smiling trustingly at me. Ahh, I would burn this world for her smile. After all, I am the Amiable Mobster. The things I want, nobody can steal it away from me.
The flapper adjusted her necklace and sighed, looking into the mirror. Only a few more hours and she’d be free. The muffled voices and music exploded around her as she exited the bathroom. She made her way around the room talking, laughing, and drinking as time ticked by. Finally she thought to herself as the last of the patrons left. She quickly made her way to the door and locked it. She didn’t have much time before the secret meeting started. Turning around she removed her jewelry and began walking to her office. Once inside, she removed her shoes and everything else. Opening her closet she reached into the deepest part and removed...a suit? As she buttoned the last button on the suit, she reached into the closet once more and grabbed a jacket and hat. Without wasting anymore time she pinned her hair up so it would be hidden once she donned the hat. Just as she slipped herself into the jacket a knock came at the speakeasy’s door. She glanced into the mirror that hung on her office door, nodding in approval. The flapper cleared her throat as she unlocked the front door. “Hello Amiable Mobster” said the person on the other side. She nodded her greetings and ushered them inside. “Hello Bugsy..I have a job for you” ~ 250 max is killing me lol. I did the best I could to include everything I wanted plus keep it under
