---- We arrived at my classroom, and Noah went inside a room deep into the corridors. The room I went into had tubes stuck inside the walls and had blue fluids flowing, it was only a mere decoration. It looked more of a lounge than a classroom, the exception was the twenty kids that sat in their seats, looking at the teacher, who was obviously an android. Androids work instead of humans, the Government giving their pay to the Android's family. The Government gives money to the entire country once a year, hoping that it would be enough to satisfy our needs. I stared at the entire class emtionlessly, and the android used a monotone voice to speak to me, and I stepped forward, obeying it. "Liberty. She is your new classmate, Class A. Welcome her and respect her. Introduce yourself." I looked at the class and smiled, using a sickly sweet voice to talk to them. A voice I use when I was pissed. "Hello everybody... My name is Liberty, and I'm your new classmate! I hope you will treat me as your friend..." I finished my speech with a giggle, faking innocence as I walked to the very back corner, dropping my suitcase and stared lifelessly out of the window, my attitude changing. One of the wealthy girls looked and threw a piece of paper at me, hissing at me to open it. I knew better than that so I kept it inside the desk, deciding to read it after class. ----- :3 YAY!
------ Home was only two blocks away, the high-tech city looking as mediocre as possible to most. I walked home alone, the building where I went served as a multi-purpose structure for citizens. Noah went there to apply as a cook... So he could learn the cultural dishes of the world and come back being our personal cook. Of course, he didn't really have to learn. He only sat patiently in a chair as the developers inserted chips into his software and all that. My mind whirled as I walked inside the house, putting my umbrella away. I stepped into the bathroom and took a bath instead of a shower, feeling a need to wash away the depression I felt at the educational center today. "... Liberty!" I felt a voice call for me. It was similar to Noah's calm demeanor, but it was firm and strict at the same time. Father was home from his collection fee, and I mumbled into the mircophone that ejected automatically from the wall that I'll be down after my bath. The future was so typical. It had everything an apathetic person needed. The outside was still raining as the screen that was produced from the wall said. I sighed inwardly and commanded the screen to switch to cartoons, and I sank lower and lower into the bathtub when I saw a cartoon movie from the past. It was black and white, and was 2D. One of the very few that still existed. The rest were either shown in theaters of movie centers, but theaters rarely existed anymore. The celluloid fans were the ones that demanded to have it rebuilt. Of course, the Governmrnt agreed to this, just so we could "enjoy the past". Last time I checked, they were opposed to anything that was from the past. Even religious practice was wiped off the face of the earth. It was still continued in private, though, the world still had the spirit of rebellion in their heart and mind. The Government had taken enough from us already. Culture and Tradition have died, everything from the past was destroyed. Flowers and Trees were only kept to preserve Nature's beauty, but the grass was ripped and was replaced with cement. The floors of public and pricate property were all decorated with the blue liquid tubes, the liquid used as a sort of electricity to fuel the systems and software that our house had. The buildings still have their color, thankfully. The only difference was that we didn't have anything from the past anymore. Veterans' memories were erased, and the rebels were hunted down. I ordered the screen to change to my great great great grandfather's portrait immediately, studying his features. You could tell he was one of the "Unique" and not one of the "Lucid". The "Lucid" were those that walked in the streets and were not recognized, they were bleded in with the surroundings. The "Unique" were the ones that had an almost immediate aura, the people recognizing and turning their attentiom to them quickly. There were very few, and our family were one of the lucky ones that had the Unique blood in them. The Lucid and the Unique weren't official though. They were only made up by one of the Ins of the Government. He was quickly dismissed and became one of the Outs, though, and ended up being brainwashed. My grandfather's face was plump, and had white frizzy hair like the man who was named Einstein. His eyelids dropped and his eyes were yellow, a sign of mischief. His lips were thin, pale lines, and his cheeks had freckles on them. They barely stood out. My great great great grandfather was a hyperactive man, and lived in our attic for a short while, to avoid attention and the Government. He was loved and respected by the world before he became one of the Listed. ----- D:
