All of this yes. I agree with this. Mostly, because there are so many people that cross the line with their sexual innuendos, “rp actions”, and comments, on campus, and in forums, for the sake of being... humourous? I don’t even want to know what their pms are like. Most of the time it isn’t even a little funny. What is funny though, is that those same people are quick to point the finger at the victims and ATA for the actions of predators with statements like... “No one can make you do anything.” “They were too young to be on the app anyway.” A couple questions here to think about... When did ATA change the age requirements from “13 and up” to “17 ”? (You can answer that) How many people do you know (right now) that have admitted to being 19 years old or less... but have played this app 3 years or more? (Don’t answer that... just think about it) Wouldn’t that be a violation of the TOU age requirements? Would these users simply be excluded from the incentive? Would said users have their accounts banned all of a sudden? ... Or would we simply say “Oh... we didn’t know you were in violation then... so we won’t punish you now for it... You got away with it so... ...all good.”? I am quite certain you know someone that downloaded this app and created an account before they were 12 years old unless they are lying about thier age right now.... because idk math. Are you going to report them? Probably not. Your heart is in the right place. Work on a better solution for this issue. I would like to think that there would be enough good people in the PIMD community to not support/encorage some of the inappropriate behavior that takes place on this game. (But because “we’re all adults” until someone calls you out on your bs lol... the good people no longer speak up). Sadly, I often see the opposite with the negative perverse undertones getting highlighted and gaining the most attention, while the truly positve things going on, get less and less support. It’s that trending attitude I was speaking about earlier this year... that most people seem to fall somewhere between that -don’t care enough- or are too petty/ignorant to actually give a damn range.
I still think children would lie about their age and say they are way older. We should have a form of age/ID verificaton...cant be that hard can it.
I think people currently over the age req, even if they started playing while they were under it (and it can get complicated because the age req has changed a few times over the years, just by browsing the Annoucements subforum) should be given a pass. Yeah, I know people that started playing while they were under the req. But they are no longer under the req, so it isn't my place to report them because they really aren't doing anything "wrong" anymore, and at times it switched from them being under the age req to over it and then back to under it. (And this "forgiveness" includes people that are not my friends ー so I am not just giving a pass to my friends, either.)
I'm not trying to prevent anyone from being online. I'm trying to prevent them from playing one (1) app. There are plenty more for kiddos to play. And I've been pretty outspoken about underage users and pædophiles since I first joined, so it isn't like I'm suddenly like ~°~let's follow the rules~°~ just because I want to get on the devs' good side. And even if this was an ass kissing attempt, it's still a good thing... Protecting children and getting rid of pædophiles (and predators in general) is something that most decent people would agree is something important, even if the specific methodology I'm suggesting is something they do not support.

If you go to a big shopping mall. It’s likely there’s atleast 3 p... trawling around. There’s not much you can do about them unless they reveal themselves or their behaviour appears to insinuate their true intentions. At which point you can report them. That being said, yes I support your suggestion of vigilance against them. Only if it’s been proven their behaviour is going too far. But the reason I don’t support your initial post of desiring for ata to be stricter on who can/can’t play this game. ”. Is because I believe the internet is meant to be a place of expression and freedom. Seems wrong to stop a whole group (in this case people that don’t meet the apps age req) from playing just because someone else’s decided to use their right to of expression and be “intense or sexual”.
Then your issue lies with ATA for putting an age req in place. If there wasn't an age req, I wouldn't be suggesting this and would solely be focusing on getting predators and pædophiles off the app to protect the children that play this game. Sexual content is prohibited as well, according to the rules, yet nothing is often done about that either.
Ran out of time to edit... But children shouldn't be exposed to sexual content. Exposing children to sexual content is a part of the grooming process. They don't have the mental capacity to understand it and sexual consequences, which is why age of consent laws are a thing. (This isn't saying children should be totally sheltered, but there are topics that are age appropriate and for majority of childhood, sexual content is not age appropriate. If you allow children on an app, you cannot allow sexual content. That's why game ratings are a thing.)
I don't think it's right to accuse people of being pædophiles without any substantial amount of proof or good reasoning. I think they lack vigilence, which granted could be considered compliance with pædos even if not intentional. But I wouldn't accuse them of being pædophiles because that's a very serious accusation.
