I think by far the stupidest catfish I've ever seen is one where some girl actually pretended to be Nicki Minaj's twin. I was laughing so hard!! That girl was demented.
One time my friend met this girl through a video chat, but she only used her picture, not her video. He talked to her for months, and she said her name was Taylor. She was a famous online model for an old famous website that's currently trying to make a comeback and she would convince him that many people make fake accounts using her ID and name, and that she was the one true Taylor. She was insane. She bribed him with money and luxuries that never came and said her dad was a plastic surgeon and that her mother died when she was little. Her profile picture was one that was plastered all over the Internet, but he still fell for it. She told him a ton of other lies as well. So one day she said that she was moving close to where he was. She told him the apartment complex—and it was real. Days go by and people still question their relationship. My other friend and I investigated rather creepily and found out that she lied about a ton of crap. Sooooo, naturally she asked our friend to delete us and to make no further contact with friends he'd had for over 5 years—seems legit. He didn't. And we convinced him that it was time to meet her. > He goes to her apartment complex to "surprise" her and brings a bouquet of flowers—still in love with this made up Taylor. He calls her and she answers. He says he's at her complex and all of the sudden he says he hears her slip and fall and the phone goes off. He keeps calling and calling and finally after the 5th call, she answers and says there's blood everywhere and hangs up again. He immediately calls 911. Cops and an ambulance show up. A freaking fire truck shows up. Apartment complex is notified and turns out a girl named and described as internet model Taylor with a plastic surgeon daddy never signed a lease with this complex. And that was all she wrote. Sorry that it was so long...
